Pros
- Rashid is an extremely agile character with a plethora of air mobility options.
- He can link a variety of medium-strength and heavy-strength attacks into other normal attacks, leading into moderately damaging combos.
- LP/MP Spinning Mixer provide excellent knockdown advantage that allows Rashid to force a strong tempo-based offense onto his enemies.
- Ysaar is a unique V-Trigger that gives Rashid extraordinarily powerful mix-ups.
- Standing
is a dominating low-crushing attack with Crush Counter properties, and it’s safe on block.
Cons
- Eagle Spike, particularly EX Eagle Spike, may seem like a spammable attack, but against astute opponents, a guarded Eagle Spike can cost you the round.
- He deals low damage, especially off of crouching
combos, so you’ll have to open up the enemy’s defenses several times before you can end a round.
Rashid is an evasive, hit-and-run type fighter (much like Rolento from prequel Street Fighter games), excelling in combos that set him up with follow-up mix-ups. His playstyle lends itself to players who want to constantly be on the move. His difficulty lies in the abundance of setups that you must memorize in order to keep your opponent guessing.
Your objective is to be a nuisance to your adversary, luring them into making bad decisions where you can capitalize with Rashid’s high-advantage knockdowns. Achieve this by:
- Utilizing Rashid’s air mobility options to keep the enemy on their toes. Mix up his movement with his Triangle Jumps, running dash, and his Front Flip V-Skill, cancelable from HK/EX Whirlwind Shot
- Using carefully timed and well-placed LK Eagle Spike to punish opponents who become impatient
- Exploiting Rashid’s standing
low-crushing hop kick to dominate foes while at mid range - Using mid-range to long-range zoning with your varying Whirlwind Shots, which can be extremely annoying for some players and may get them to jump in and land on projectiles, giving you plenty of knockdown advantage
