Low Hit-Checks
COMBO 1a
Crouching
crouching

or
(see notes for details)
|
158 damage, 293 stun (requires one stock of EX Gauge; damage and stun may vary) |
Not necessarily a “bread-and-butter” combo, but it is one that separates a good Necalli player from a great one, as it has to meet certain conditions against various adversaries. For instance, the HP Raging Light ender whiffs on most crouching characters.
HP Raging Light works against all characters standing but only on the following characters crouching: Birdie, Zangief (tall crouchers).
EX Raging Light works on the following characters standing: Birdie, F.A.N.G, M. Bison, Vega, Zangief. EX Raging Light works on all crouching characters EXCEPT Chun-Li.
COMBO 1b
(Torrent of Power activated) crouching
crouching

|
159 damage, 253 stun |
A two-hit combo that can be confirmed off of a crouching
attack. Note that Raging Light may whiff on certain characters, depending on their hurtbox size on crouching or standing. While Torrent of Power is active, this will always work because Raging Light has a larger hitbox, as well as more horizontal coverage. As simple as this combo is, experience is needed to assess whether Raging Light will connect or not. If you’re unsure, use Combo 2 instead.
COMBO 2
Crouching
crouching

|
134 damage, 293 stun |
This combo will be one of the only ways you’ll be able to properly punish attacks that leave your opponent at -4 frame advantage. You can go straight into crouching

to punish -3 attacks.
COMBO 3
Crouching

|
381 damage, 190 stun (requires full EX Gauge) |
A simple two-hit combo mostly used in mid-range footsie battles as a whiff punish. On block, Necalli’s left at -4, which is easily punishable by most of the cast.

One of your primary meaty or frame trap pokes up close. Easily confirmable into the follow-up linked crouching
. On block, you can instead take a step forward for more crouching/standing jab pressure or go for LP/EX Mask of Tlalli. You can start this combo with a 6-frame standing
or a 5-frame standing
. Standing
is preferable when you’re close enough to use it since it’s a frame faster.
COMBO 5A
Standing
standing

|
190 damage, 305 stun (against crouching opponent; rewards 150 V-Gauge) |
A situational combo confirmable from a close standing
. It rewards half of a V-Gauge stock, so you can fish for this if you need meter for your V-Trigger activation. It does not work if your enemy is standing and does not work on Chun-Li at all, but it’s a useful tool in your arsenal nonetheless.

Your target combo is much more effective when you’re loaded with meter. You can use it as a guardstun sequence to get into Torrent of Power, or you can use it for an extended combo with one of the many potential follow-ups.

If you manage to land EX Mask of Tlalli, you can follow up with most attacks, including normals. A setup you can use if you have a full V-Gauge bar is to grab with EX Mask of Tlalli, juggle with crouching

, and then as the opponent is in a forced air recovery, dash in for a command throw/throw/frame trap mix-up.

Combos 7a and 7b are off of clean jump-ins, but Combo 7b is a bit safer on block (HK Valiant Rebellion is +/-0). Combo 7c is situational, as you’ll need full V-Gauge.
COMBO 8
Forward jump cross-up

Necalli’s cross-up attack doesn’t have the best hitbox, but it’s serviceable nonetheless. Use these combos on a confirmed forward jumping cross-up
hit, or mix it up on block and go for HK or EX Mask of Tlalli, as Necalli will be directly next to his opponent.
COMBO 9
Forward jump cross-up
, standing

|
190 damage, 305 stun, builds 131 V-Gauge |
This is a two-level hit-check combo. You fish for a hit with your cross-up jumping
into standing
. At this point in the sequence, you’ll have had enough time to confirm your hits before making the decision to finish the standing

portion, which rewards you with valuable V-Gauge.
COMBO 10
Forward jump

Off of Necalli’s dive kick, Road of the Sun, you can usually link into one of his three-frame jabs for a combo. Ending with HP/EX Raging Light normally requires a standing opponent, so you can opt to finish with EX Valiant Rebellion to ensure that the combo connects.
Grounded Counter-Hits

Two-level counter-hit-check using standing or crouching jab as a frame trap. Input

COMBO 12d
Counter-hit standing
, standing

, crouching

,

|
514 damage, 540 stun (requires full V-Gauge and EX Gauge) |
Combo 12a can be used at any distance, whereas Combo 12b requires Necalli to be a bit closer to the opponent. At even closer ranges, you can deal more than 400 points of damage with a full stock of EX Gauge with a Ceremony of Honor finisher. Combo 12c is mainly used to punish whiffed reversals that reward counter-hit on recovery, and Combo 12d is for an optimal damage punish if you’re flush with resources.
COMBO 13a
Counter-hit

225 damage, 325 stun, builds 431 V-Gauge |
COMBO 13b

COMBO 13c
Counter-hit

|
219 damage, 303 stun |
Sample combos off of a counter-hit

. The timing may feel awkward since you have to walk forward quite a bit during the enemy’s hitstun animation for Combos 13a and 13b.
Anti-Air Counter-Hits

COMBO 14b
(Torrent of Power activated) Counter-hit anti-air crouching
, juggle

|
472 damage, 270 stun (requires full EX Gauge) |
You can go for crouching
as an anti-air instead of MP/HP Raging Light if you want to take a gamble for extra damage. You sacrifice the invincibility and safety of Raging Light, but it could potentially reward you with a powerful Crush Counter combo.
With Torrent of Power activated, you can deal almost 50 percent of a full stamina bar with Combo 14b—at long distances, you will need to omit LK Valiant Rebellion completely and juggle with just Soul Offering.
V-Trigger and Situational Combos
COMBO 15
(Torrent of Power activated) counter-hit standing
crouching

,

|
551 damage, 475 stun (requires full EX Gauge) |
If you’re already in Torrent of Power mode, this is a devastating combo that deals about 60 percent damage to most of the cast on counter-hit (or as a punish to a counter-hit recovery reversal like Shoryuken).
COMBO 16
(Torrent of Power activated) crouching

crouching
, then cancel into:
![]() |
|---|
|
491 damage, 340 stun |
![]() |
|---|
|
284 damage, 375 stun |
A high-damage combo off of a fast five-frame crouching
attack while Torrent of Power is activated. This combo only works off of a counter-hit crouching
pre-transformation. Crouching

is safe for the most part, however, at -2 on guard.
COMBO 17
(Torrent of Power activated) standing

,

|
225 damage, 285 stun |
This combo only works with Torrent of Power activated. It also does not require a charge when canceled from an attack, so Necalli can be freely moving at mid range while fishing for a whiff-punish standing
HP The Disc’s Guidance for good damage.
COMBO 18
(Torrent of Power activated) standing

, then juggle with:
![]() ![]() ![]() (requires full EX Gauge) |
|---|

502 damage, 330 stun |
![]() |
|---|
|
286 damage, 418 stun |
![]() |
|---|
|
310 damage, 490 stun (requires one stock of EX Gauge) |
Under the effects of Torrent of Power, you can now combo into HK Valiant Rebellion off of a non-counter-hitting standing
. This makes your frame traps better since standing
is superior to crouching
in terms of range and HK Valiant Rebellion is exceptional in its advantage (+2 on block).
COMBO 19
(Torrent of Power activated) counter-hit standing
crouching
, canceled into either:
, ![]() |
|---|
|
515 damage, 418 stun (requires full EX gauge) |
, ![]() |
|---|
|
326 damage, 492 stun (cornered opponent only) |
, ![]() |
|---|
|
273 damage, 375 stun |
With Torrent of Power activated, a counter-hit standing
nets you additional frame advantage in which you can actually link into crouching
(+9 instead of +7). If you can react to the “Counter” system message quickly enough off of a close standing
, you can lead into a devastating combo, especially with a loaded EX bar. Otherwise, you can simply use HP The Disc’s Guidance (doesn’t require charge) if you connect with this mid stage. If you have the opponent in the corner, you can go for HK Valiant Rebellion into HP Raging Light instead.
