Kanzuki-Ryu Hadorokushiki Hasha No Kata: Karin lunges forward with a fast, invincible elbow strike, leading into a gut punch, leading into an invincible upward knee thrust. The initial invincible elbow strikes at about a dash’s distance, while the finishing invincible knee attack hits a half-screen away from the starting point. The gut punch in the middle is merely a striking attack without special invulnerability, though it is active for an unusually long period of seven frames. If any of the three strikes connects, Karin will transition into her finishing palm strike against a whirling foe, blasting them all the way across the screen and preventing quick-recovery while Karin celebrates with an insolent laugh. The fast initial hit (five frames) and invincible aspect allow you to use this Critical Art as a risky, high-reward reversal when you’re under pressure and loaded with EX Gauge. It’s also fast enough to be used on reaction to certain actions at the edge of close range into mid range. If Kanzuki-Ryu Hadorokushiki Hasha No Kata is guarded, it deals fair chip damage with three hits (15 per hit, 45 total) but leaves Karin at an extremely punishable disadvantage (-18). Hadorokushiki is also great in just about any combo or juggle. It can juggle after Tenko and Mujinkyaku and be canceled into from Orochi, Mujinkyaku, and various V-Trigger Guren Ken specials. One of Karin’s strongest aspects is her ease of scaling up combo damage depending on how much meter you’re willing to spend, and Hadorokushiki is a big part of that.
