Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy features three complete games in one. These are remastered versions of the original games.
The original Crash Bandicoot was released in 1996 for the PlayStation console. Due to its success, sequels were released the following years, with Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back in 1997 and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped in 1998. From that point on, a new Crash Bandicoot game was released every year through 2010. These included racing games and minigames, as well as the traditional platform games.
Crash eventually branched out to just about every platform imaginable, including all the major console systems and handheld systems. After the release of Crash Bandicoot: Nitro Kart 2 for iOS devices, Crash seemed to go into retirement. It looked like the rascally marsupial had finally given up smashing boxes for good.
Then, in 2017, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was released for the PlayStation 4. The remastered games welcomed Crash back, inviting a new generation of gamers into his world of spin attacks and carefully timed jumps that proved to still be great fun over 20 years later. Players loved Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy enough to make it one of the top-selling PlayStation 4 games in 2017. Now Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is also available on Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
