Rewards: Clear Gem—destroy all 83 boxes and one Red Gem.
Hope you brought your trunks, because it’s time to take a swim once again! Head right to grab the mini-sub. Break the first three boxes on the right, and keep heading that direction. Fire a torpedo at the TNT, exploding all the boxes blocking your path.
Head through the now-clear path and break the next four boxes. Keep heading right to swim carefully under a nitro box. Torpedo the shark and continue right. Destroy the upcoming mine with a torpedo and forge ahead. The path soon slopes down near two pufferfish; eliminate them with the sub’s handy torpedo. Destroy the reef at the bottom of the slope, and break the box it was hiding.
Enter the tube to the right, sadly leaving your mini-sub behind. Break the box, but don’t touch the electrified plate spinning in front of you. Swim carefully around it as it spins, and follow the tube down. Exit the tube, carefully swimming around the mine, keeping a lookout for the eels that emerge from the walls as you make your way down.
The path curves to the right, where you find more boxes to break and a shark to eliminate. Break the checkpoint box and the Aku Aku box. Stop a moment to note the spinning machines on the seafloor. These whirlpool machines suck water (and whatever else is above them, like Bandicoots, for instance) down to their whirring blades.
Wait until they stop spinning before you swim swiftly past each one. Take down the shark waiting on the other side of them, and break the two boxes below. Then make your way carefully past two mines to break the box near another tube. Enter the downward tube.
Although the tube contains a fan at the top, which pushes you down, and a fan at the bottom, which pushes you up, they don’t exert that much force. Head down, breaking the boxes on the platforms on the tube sides, while avoiding the couple of pufferfish nearby. Once you reach the bottom of the tube, exit it to the right.
When you exit, take out the two sharks, who’d like to make you a tasty treat, before busting open the nearby checkpoint. You see another whirlpool machine trying to drag you down. Wait for it to stop, and eliminate the pufferfish. Break the next three boxes and collect the crystal above them.
Next, you see a shark swimming near two nitro boxes (how come the enemies never accidentally bounce into these?). Take out the shark, but be careful of the nitro. Pass the two whirlpool machines when they stop, to reach an area with two boxes and a trail of Wumpa fruit leading upward.
Swim to the right, where your path is blocked by iron boxes next to a wire-framed box. Break the boxes beneath the Wumpa fruit and follow the path leading up. An eel emerges from the left and tries to take a bite out of you, so be careful. When you reach the top, you see another spinning, electrified plate. (Didn’t anyone tell these guys that electricity and water don’t mix?) Make your way past it as you did before, by following its motion, and enter the tube. When you exit, be ready to deal with a pufferfish and a whirlpool. Once you pass those two hazards, bust open the checkpoint box.
Sweet! Time to grab another mini-sub and head right. Destroy the reef and bust the box hidden within. Continue right and take out the two pufferfish. Break the boxes and swim into the large tube. This time you get to keep the sub! Torpedo the sharks here and exit the tube. Destroy the reef and break the box revealed. Carefully make your way past the whirlpool machine, remembering to wait until it stops spinning.
Continue right to find a box and a few nitro boxes. Fire your torpedoes at the boxes to break them from a safe distance. Just to the right, you encounter yet more whirlpool machines, this time two of them. By now, you know the drill. Torpedo the pufferfish nearby before moving past them. Break the boxes just past the whirlpool machines, and hit the “!” box.
From here, you can warp out of the level, but if you want to claim both gems in this level, don’t do it yet. The “!” box you just hit activated the wire-framed box you encountered earlier, letting you now access the Clear and Red Gems for this level.
Make your way back to the wire-framed box, just before the path led upward.
The former wire-framed box is now a TNT box. To trigger it, bump into the top of the box, then quickly move before it explodes. When it does, it sets off a chain reaction of sorts, triggering other TNT boxes and blowing up two regular boxes to clear the path. Head right, breaking open the checkpoint, and then enter the tube.
This tube leads into a larger vertical tube with a fan on top and on bottom. Head down, avoiding the pufferfish swimming near the sides of the tube. As you near the bottom, you see three nitro boxes resting on a platform. Avoid them like the menace they are, reach the bottom, and head left to exit the tube.
Cautiously swim past four boxes of floating nitro, and make your way past two whirlpool machines and a pufferfish. Take out the shark nearby to reach a large stack of boxes, including several TNT boxes. Break the boxes that can be done so safely, and trigger the TNT to take care of the rest.
Swim left and take out two sharks to reach three whirlpool machines. As each one stops, swim past. Hit the green “!” box and claim the Clear Gem above it (assuming you’ve broken all of the boxes). Collect the Red Gem to the left. Now you can swim through the warp and exit the level.

Time Requirements
Sapphire: 1:37:00
Gold: 1:15:12
Platinum: 1:08:33
Earning the gold relic on this level is one of the most challenging in Warped. There are two key things you can do: First, press the Jump button to swim faster whenever you don’t have a mini-sub. Second, don’t lose the mini-sub when you have it. When in possession of the sub, constantly fire torpedoes ahead of you to preemptively take out as many obstacles and enemies as you can.
This level doesn’t contain a ton of time boxes, so make the most of the ones available by breaking each and every one. The whirlpool machines can try your patience, as you need to wait for them to stop before passing by. While it’s hard to stop when you’re rushing through the level, hounded by the sense of urgency inherent in time trials, waiting for the whirlpool machines to stop spinning is a much better use of your time than losing an Aku Aku Mask (or your life) because you got sucked down.
