Here’s another level where your Fruit Bazooka comes in handy! Walk forward and jump to the roof. Break two boxes here, and use the bazooka to kill the sword-wielding enemy. Jump over the pit, onto the carpet. Bounce from the rug to the platforms on the other side of the pit. Cross these platforms and jump over the pit, onto the carpet. Bounce from the rug to the next roof.

An enemy on the left wall throws explosives in your path. Give him a taste of the Fruit Bazooka to stop that rude behavior. Keep your weapon ready, and use it to blast the sword-wielding enemy. Break the two boxes here, then proceed until you pass the area where the enemy was lobbing explosives.

Break two boxes and head right. Jump onto the moving carpet over the pit when it gets close enough, and ride it to the right, over the pit. On the other side is an enemy tossing explosives. Take him down with the Fruit Bazooka before leaving the safety of your carpet.

Jump over to the platforms to the right and break two more boxes. When you come to a pit with two rugs moving in circles around it, use your bazooka to take out the pot-carrying enemy on the other side, then jump onto one of the flying carpets. Jump off when it reaches the opposite side of the pit.

Break the checkpoint and get ready to blow something up! Take down the explosive-tossing enemies in the windows to the left and right. Jump on the flying carpet moving in circles over the pit. Give another explosive-throwing enemy the bazooka treatment. Jump to the platforms and once again use your faithful bazooka, this time to break two boxes under two boxes of TNT.

Use the iron arrow box to reach the nearby roof. Break the box and head right to claim the crystal near the pit. Two carpets move up and down in this pit. Use them to reach the other side. Bazooka another enemy tossing explosives, and break the next three boxes. Use the carpet in the pit to the right to cross it, and use the bazooka to bust three boxes, which are near some TNT. Set off the TNT and break the checkpoint box.

Use the iron arrow boxes to the right to reach a small area above. Use the Fruit Bazooka to take down the sword-wielding enemy on the nearby balcony. Jump onto the rug moving up and down to the left. Take out the enemy tossing explosives, and bounce on the rug under his window.

Approach the next platform and use the left rug to bounce. Double-jump at the top of the bounce to reach the roof in front of you. Avoid the platform where an enemy is tossing explosives. Break six boxes to reach the Skull Platform Death Route. If you make it to this point in the level without losing any lives, you can take the platform.

Skull Platform

Head right to jump over the first pit. Continue right and drop to the wood platform to the right. A knife-throwing enemy is just off-screen to the right. Head right, jumping over any knives, and vault over the pit. Eliminate the knife thrower. When you reach a pit with a rug, take out the enemies on the other side with the Fruit Bazooka and jump onto the rug in the pit.

From there, jump to the platforms on the other side of the pit before reaching yet another pit containing a rug. Bounce from that rug to the platforms on the other side of the pit. Continue ahead and spin into the iron checkpoint box.

On the left is another pit with a flying carpet. Jump onto that carpet and from it to the roof on the left. Use the bazooka to take out the enemy throwing explosives, then drop onto the wooden platforms to the left. Jump over knives if necessary, and deal with the enemy throwing them.

Forge ahead to reach a pit with enemies on the other side lobbing explosives. Take them out with the bazooka and jump on the rug in the pit. Jump across the pit and follow the path. When it turns right, jump down to the roof. Drop to the wood platforms on the right. Dodge the knives being lobbed at you. Cross the pit using the rug inside it to reach the knife thrower. Once you deal with him, claim the Green Gem and jump on the Skull Platform to return to the level.

Jump over the pit onto the rug and bounce up to the roof. Break a box, then jump onto a carpet over the pit. Pull out your trusty Fruit Bazooka to take down the enemy on the other side of the pit before jumping off there. Bust eight boxes and head left.

Jump onto the moving carpet in this next pit, and use the bazooka to take out another sword-wielding foe. Jump off and break the checkpoint box on the other side of the pit. Eliminate the enemy on the left, then hop over a small pit, landing on a rug. Jump up to the carpet above and ride it to the left to reach a rooftop. Break the four boxes on the roof and take the “?” platform to the bonus stage.

Bonus Stage

To your right is a pit. Jump it and land down on the platform. Shoot the nitro boxes to your right with the bazooka—from a safe distance, of course. Cross the platform to reach another pit. Double-jump to another platform and spin to break the box on the side, just before landing.

Stand at the edge of the platform, and shoot the nitro with the bazooka before crossing the platform. Drop to the next platform and break five boxes. Head right and jump onto the arrow boxes to break the six boxes above them. Continue to the right side of the pit. From there, use the bazooka to destroy the five arrow boxes. Shoot the nitro you see above you to the right, then jump over the iron arrow box and break three more boxes. Take the “?” platform to return to the level.

Walk forward to reach a pit, use your bazooka to take out the enemy on the left throwing explosives, and use the bazooka again to eliminate the pot-carrying enemy across the pit. Jump the pit and break two boxes. When you see two pits separated by a small platform, use your bazooka to take down the enemy throwing explosives onto that platform.

Back up a bit and use the Fruit Bazooka to break a box above one of the pits. Jump over the two pits to reach a larger pit with two flying carpets moving in circles. Jump onto one of them, ride it to the other side, and bounce to the nearby roof to claim the Clear Gem and end the level.

Time Trial

Time Requirements

Sapphire: 1:43:00

Gold: 1:13:10

Platinum: 0:59:40

Unlike running this level outside the time trial, you don’t need to rely on your Fruit Bazooka. Quickly run past enemies, dodging the knives and explosions to save time. Getting the three Aku Aku Masks helps, as always, but it isn’t as vital here as on some other time trials. There aren’t many time boxes, so you must depend on your speed and knowledge of the level to get a good time.
