Rewards: Clear Gem—destroy all 43 boxes (Green Gem is required for three of the boxes).
In this level, you face two new enemies: carnivorous plants and skunks. The plants eat you if you get too close, and the skunks move down the path toward you quickly. Time your jumps or attacks to hit them before they get you. There are also explosive TNT boxes. Jump on them to start a countdown. Don’t spin-attack these boxes, or they blow up instantly and cause you to lose a life or a mask.
At the start, jump on the arrow box to retrieve Wumpa fruit from a box above. Pick up an Aku Aku Mask and then jump on the TNT box. You must destroy these TNT boxes to earn the gem at the end. Continue down the path, defeating skunks and plants as you go.
There’s also a new obstacle to get past in this level. Rolling stone wheels move back and forth across the jungle path. Don’t let them hit you! Wait until one rolls past, then jump over the track before it returns. This takes careful timing; once you get past a few, you learn when to jump.
After passing the first rolling stone, smash a box to get the first Tawna icon. Collect three of these to unlock a bonus stage in this level. Continue on down the path, defeating enemies and passing obstacles. There’s a tough section where a series of chasms and rolling stones are right next to each other. Be careful, as you jump over a stone track, that you don’t go too far forward and fall into the chasm.
Past a track with two rolling stones, you come across the checkpoint. Once you collect a Green Gem from a later level, return here to activate an elevator that takes you to three more boxes. For now, just keep going. Pick up another Tawna icon from a box in between two tracks of rolling stones.
There’s a Crash box sandwiched between TNT boxes. Be careful not to lose a life trying to get the extra one. Stand next to the stack of boxes and jump. Spin-attack when you’re at the level of the Crash box, then get away since the TNT starts counting down when the top one drops onto the bottom one.
The third Tawna icon is near a round platform. Collect it to activate the platform. Jump onto it to reach the bonus stage.
Near the end of the path, after you get the Crash box, there are two rolling stones with a chasm on either side of the track. Time it so you jump over the first chasm, land on the track, and jump across the second chasm before the stones hit you. Then continue to the end. Jump onto the platform to exit the level.

You have more time to get through this longer level. They key is to break all the yellow time boxes—all of them are along your path. Also take care to grab the Aku Aku Masks, including the one before you start the clock, so that if you do get hit, you can keep going. Use carefully timed spin attacks to take out enemies. Look ahead to spot the rolling stones and move right or left, depending on which way they’re rolling, so you don’t have to stop at them.
