Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy eGuide High-Tech Warp Room

Pack Attack

Rewards: Clear Gem—destroy all 45 boxes.

Previously Crash had the opportunity to strap on a rocket pack and navigate a series of dangers. It’s time to fire up the rocket pack and fly again. There are no bonus stages during this level, so collect all of the boxes and get to the end.

The first threat is right at the start. Wait for the four red mines to come together and move apart before flying through the middle of them. Maneuver carefully past red-hot pipes. Move through a narrow opening in the middle. The area right after contains several boxes, so fly around and spin-attack them all.

To get past the laser dishes, wait for them to fire across the path, then immediately rush through when the way is clear. Go around a plasma beam, and stay to the right to move past red-hot pipes.

Stay low to get under floating cables and avoid being hit. Break the checkpoint and another box in the safe area before getting past laser dishes and going under a plasma beam.

A flying lab assistant blocks your way. Wait for his electric gloves to recharge, then spin-attack him twice until you push him back into the hot gases behind him. Continue forward, go over a plasma beam, and break another box while avoiding red-hot pipes to the left.

Ahead are four mines in front of a circle of nitro boxes. Center yourself, and when the mines begin moving away from each other after coming together, make your move. Fly through the middle to get past the mines and the nitro. Immediately go low to pass some floating cables and laser dishes.

Hit a checkpoint on the left of the red-hot pipes, and stay left as you pass a plasma beam to collect another box. Maneuver to the right to grab a mask, and follow the path of fruit forward past more red pipes. Boost up to go over a plasma beam.

Double sets of laser dishes take their turn at trying to stop you. Wait until the middle is clear, then rush through. Move left to break a box and avoid a plasma beam. Another flying lab assistant blocks your way. He’s out a distance from the hot gas, so spin-attack him several times to push him back to his defeat.

Continue past more laser dishes, and move into an area with yellow walls. There are three boxes in here. Next, go under red pipes and over a clear tube. Stay left to break a box and avoid several nitro boxes.

Another flying lab assistant awaits. Four red mines move around in front of him. Time your movements to get through the mines while the lab assistant is recharging his gloves. Quickly spin-attack to push him back into the hot gas, while taking care that you’re past the mines so they don’t hit you.

Carefully maneuver around lots of nitro boxes that block your way, then through some laser dishes. Head right to get past a plasma beam, picking up the crystal along the way. Go over another plasma beam.

Finally, you must move through a tunnel with yellow walls, floating cables, and four moving mines. Wait until the mines move apart, then go low under the cables to get past these threats. After Crash lands and takes off the rocket pack, hit the green switch to destroy all the nitro boxes, and continue into the portal room to claim the Clear Gem and return to the warp room.

Time Trial

Time Requirements

Sapphire: 1:22:00

Gold: 1:08:29

Platinum: 0:58:25

Since there are mines right at the start, wait until they’re opening before you hit the clock to begin the timer. This can save you a second or two. Get as many of the time boxes and masks as you can. The key is to focus ahead to see where those time boxes are located, then position Crash to get through threats and still be on course for those boxes. You may need to slow down or stop to avoid the moving mines, and while waiting for the flying lab assistants to recharge their gloves so you can move in for the attack. Keep going to the end, and once you’re on foot again, rush past the switch to reach the portal and stop the clock.
