Ready to fly? This time you take to the skies to compete against three of your fellow pilots in a winner-take-all race. For this competition, you fly through 30 green rings. Every time you do, you get a speed boost. Do a barrel roll while passing through them, and you get an even bigger boost! You must use the barrel-roll boost often to claim first place on this level and earn the corresponding Clear Gem. The other Clear Gem is awarded for breaking all of the boxes.
Fly through the first ring in front of you and through the second ring to the right. Shoot the box past it, and head through the third ring and the fourth, up and to the left. Shoot the next box, then go through the fifth ring. Quickly shoot the three boxes before you go through the next ring. Remember to barrel-roll through each one whenever you can!
Shoot the box in front of the seventh ring and go through it. Take out the box of nitro in the eighth ring and fly through it. Shoot the next box. Near the ninth ring are two boxes, one of which is nitro. Fire at them and go through the ring. Take out the box near the tenth ring and go through it. Shoot the single box and fly through Ring 11.
Fire on two boxes and go through the twelfth ring. Shoot the next two boxes, one regular and one nitro, in front of Ring 13. Fly through the next two rings, 14 and 15, then shoot the regular box and the nitro box by the sixteenth ring. Fly through it and Ring 17.
Here you hit a long stretch of open air. Shoot the next box you see. Head through Ring 18 behind it and Ring 19. Destroy the next two boxes and go through Rings 20, 21, and 22. Shoot two boxes, one of which is nitro, in Ring 23 before flying through it. Race ahead through Rings 24 and 25, and shoot the next three boxes before flying through Ring 26. Fire on three more boxes, including one nitro, near Ring 27, then fly through it. Shoot the three boxes in Ring 28 and fly through it. Fire on the last nitro box and go through Ring 29. If you’ve broken all the boxes, you earn a Clear Gem. Fly through the finish ring to warp out of the level. If you finish in first, you get another Clear Gem.

The key here is to barrel-roll, barrel-roll, and then barrel-roll through the rings. The extra speed is critical to getting a good time, but make sure you remain in control of your aircraft. You don’t want to miss a ring.
