This level has Crash running away from a giant rolling boulder. There are a few safe spots where you can stop for a bit; however, when the boulder is chasing you, there’s no time for stopping. Keep running, and watch for the access point to the bonus stage.
As you exit the portal room, smash several boxes before the run begins. Stay left to avoid a gap on the right side. After jumping a gap, go right to avoid another gap on the left. Dodge some land mines and enter an archway, where you find more boxes and a checkpoint. The land mines don’t hurt you. However, they bring you to a stop for a bit, allowing the boulder to gain distance.
When you’re ready to continue, start running again. There are more land mines and then a gap to jump over. Go right and then left to avoid side gaps, then jump across a gap before jumping over land mines blocking your path. Stay right to avoid an electrical barrier. Following the path of Wumpa fruit leads you past two more of these barriers, to another archway with boxes and a checkpoint. Grab the extra life!
As you resume running, stay in the middle to get past mines, then go left around an electrical barrier. Go right and then left around two more barriers. After jumping over a gap, stay right to avoid nitro boxes.
After jumping over another gap, continue on the right side so you don’t fall in a side gap. After going under an archway, pick up the crystal. The boulder falls into a hole behind you. Jump onto a circular platform, which takes you to the bonus stage.
Though the boulder isn’t chasing you, move along the path and try out the green speed boosts that take you to the next archway with more boxes. Stay to the middle or right as you jump across two gaps to avoid a land mine. After getting past more land mines, stay right so you can hit a box as you jump across more gaps.
Use speed boosts to get out ahead of the boulder. Jump over a land mine while avoiding a side gap on the right, then move to the right to jump a gap and miss an electrical barrier. Jump two more gaps and stay right to pass another barrier. Dart to the left for two boxes behind the barrier—one holds an extra life. Zigzag around two more barriers and collect the boxes behind them before rushing into the portal room to grab the Clear Gem. Take the portal to exit the level.

This is a tough time trial, even though the level is sort of a time trial itself. You can’t stop in the archways, and you need to know the level well to avoid the traps and obstacles. There are a few time boxes, mostly in archways, while one is behind an electrical barrier. Use the speed boosts to your advantage. When you enter the portal room, don’t stop until you jump onto the portal, since the clock keeps running until that point.
