Need for Speed lets you take the role of the new driver in Ventura Bay. At the start, you meet some of the members of the racing scene. They invite you to events and help guide you through several story lines. This is an open world that allows you to drive wherever you want. You can race and win cash to purchase cars, then customize and upgrade your vehicles to make them expressions of you.

Whether you’re brand new to Need for Speed or have played some of the earlier incarnations of the game, the latest and greatest offers several new features that take the genre to new heights. This guide will help you get the most out of your experience and maximize your racing ability.

The Basics introduces you to the game interface, the people you meet, and the types of events in which you can compete. The Racing 101 section provides some important tips and tactics for competition, such as how to drive around curves at high speed and how to drift. Check this out to learn everything you need to get started as a driver.

The Cars is where you can find out about each of the sweet rides in the game. Look here to see which car is best for your style of driving.

Our In The Garage chapter takes you into the place where you can customize your ride. Learn how to upgrade your car with new parts to increase its performance. You can also find out how to tune the handling and customize its look with paint and decals.

The next five chapters cover the various paths you can follow, each of which leads to an icon of Need for Speed. These chapters cover Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw. This section is loaded with maps and racing strategy for every course in the game!
