After taking some time to upgrade your car, Spike has a circuit race for you. Drive down to Royal Park and get ready to race around through the city. This time, it’s just you and Spike. Second place is for the loser—so don’t lose!v
Objective: Race to the finish over multiple laps. First across the finish line wins.
The start of this race is a straight section. Use it to get up to speed and try to catch up to Spike. He’s fast at the start, but not quite as good at the turns.
Your first turn is 90 degrees to the right. It’s immediately after the gas station, so get ready to turn when you see the station. If you have not passed Spike yet, this is your chance. Right after the turn, there’s a long straightaway. Maintain your speed and watch for other traffic.
You hit another tight turn to the right. It’s immediately followed by a left turn. Slow down as you enter the first turn, then begin accelerating into and through the second one. This lets you hit the next straight stretch with some speed.
This is another 90-degree right turn. Cut in close to the inside of the turn and powerslide through it, holding your speed. It’s another straightaway through the city where you must stay in front of Spike.
This last turn is wide and goes to the right. Tap your brakes as you enter it to ensure you have weight on your front wheels and can make the turn. If you start it on the inside of the turn, there’s room to go wide on the outside. As you race through the longest stretch, maintain your speed and go around the course for a second time. Spike is fast, so you have to run this race fairly clean to beat him. However, the roads are wide and forgiving, so you should not have any crashes or spinouts.
