Need For Speed eGuide Walkthrough Build

In the Driver's Seat

Amy has invited you to a sprint race around Burnwood. It’s all on main roads and there are four other drivers who will be racing, as well.

Objective: Race to the finish line in a point to point sprint race. First across the finish line wins.

The first leg of this race is fairly straight with some wide turns. Use this time to get up to speed and try to pull ahead since you start in the rear of the pack. There’s a long turn about halfway through this section. In order to take it at high speed, enter at the outside by driving along the right side of the wide road. Drive a line toward the inside of the turn at the apex, and then out wide again for the exit. Continue along the road, watching for cops that like to pull out and join the race.

This part of the race is a long wide turn to the left. It begins immediately after a turn to the right so the transition can be tough and require you to slow down a bit. However, you should be able to take the turn fine. If you need to slow down a bit, just let off the gas.

You now have a turn to the right. Stay on the right side of the road on the inside of the turn. This gives you room to move to the left if necessary. As you exit the turn, give it full throttle for a straight section of road. If you’ve upgraded your car, this is a good chance to pull out ahead if you’re not already there.

The road curves over the freeway at this spot. While it is wide, you should probably let up on the gas to maintain control as you go through it. Then punch it as you exit onto another straight section. Watch out for traffic as other cars will pull out right in front of you. A crash can really hurt you right here.

As the road curves to the left, you then also take a left turn. Slow down as you start to go into the first turn so you can take that sharp left turn. Once around it, pick up speed again.

The final leg has some long, shallow turns that don’t require you to slow down at all. Let the horses run here and sprint to the finish line. As usual, watch for the slower traffic with whom you must share the road.
