Up for another sprint race? This time, Amy has a longer one. It’s a freeway run all the way from Burnwood, through Royal Park, and on to South Port. Race against six other cars for over five miles at high speeds.
Objective: Race to the finish line and be the first across to win.
It can be crowded as you enter the freeway with so many cars. The course immediately takes you over to the left lanes, so get over there and avoid hitting the center divide. Watch for oncoming traffic. Once out of the tunnel, the freeway is no longer divided, so feel free to use any lanes to help take the turns faster.
As you enter Royal Park, the freeway divides again. Stay to the right. Keep pushing all the way through this part of the city, only slowing a bit for the turn at the end.
The tunnel as you leave Royal Park has a turn that can take you by surprise. Stay in the middle because of obstacles along the walls of the tunnel that can cause a crash. Once out of the tunnel, pour it on. The other racers are fast and won’t cut you any slack.
The turn to the left when you enter South Port is a bit tight when running at full speed. Let off the gas or tap the brakes to get the weight on your front wheels so you can take the turn. Speed through the next two turns as you head to the off-ramp.
The off-ramp has some tight turns, so slow down as you approach. It’s important to take the first turn under control so you can better approach the following bend to the right. Then take another right and sprint the short distance to the finish line. The top three or four racers are usually fairly close at the end. The winner is the one who can take the off-ramp and final turns the best.
