Robyn thinks you’re ready for a drift train, a drift contest that loops where the highest Drift Score wins. However, you only score when you’re drifting near other racers in this event. Don’t get out too far ahead or left too far behind; if you do, you won’t earn any score no matter how great you drift. Robyn is taking you on a course in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
Objective: Run the synchronized drift with Robyn and get at least 26,000 Drift Score to win.
At the start, try to get out in front of Robyn so you can get to the first curve and drift around it for some score. Robyn likes to sprint between turns, so stay up with her and get ready to drift around the next turn to the left. Be sure you’re either in front of or behind Robyn when you get to a turn. If you’re side by side, you are likely to collide and not get any score.
Accelerate over this stretch to the next turn, then pick up some score as you drift around it. Don’t worry about drifting around the wider turn to the left. Robyn just runs around this, so do the same and hit the following turn to the right with speed to boost your score even more.
This section is a speed run. Stay to the right at the intersection and don’t worry about drifting or Robyn may get too far ahead of you. Instead, sprint all the way to the next turn.
This turn is long and wide. However, you’re coming at it with some high speed. To drift along this farther, hold off on straightening up and accelerating once you start the drift. Slide around the turn and then steer out of the turn as you hit the gas.
Pick up speed and drift around a couple more turns at high speed. These are wide, so you have some room for good drifts.
As you get to the intersection, take a tight right and follow the course one more time. This is where the finish line will be when you return here after the second lap. It’s not that hard to get enough Drift Score to win this event. The key is to keep up with Robyn. If you try to drift on every little turn, she may leave you behind and you won’t score.
