Need For Speed eGuide Walkthrough Crew

Chasing Devils

Now that you have improved your racing and drifting, it’s time to try another drift train. This one is longer than previous drift trains and takes place on the city streets of Franklin Heights. Remember, in a drift train, you need to stay close to the other racers to earn Drift Score.

Objective: Run the synchronized drift and get at least 73,000 Drift Score to win.

You start out on a straightaway. Punch it and get out in front of the others. The first turn is wide, so take it fast and keep your car in the middle of the road. There’s another one shortly after the first that’s sharper and to the left, so let up on the gas as you approach, then drift around it as you enter Apollo Heights where the remainder of the contest takes place.

The turns in this section look tight, but are on wide streets so you can drift them at high speed. After the first one to the right, you have a longer turn to the left that starts wide and gets tighter at the end.

These two alternating turns, which take you right and then left, can be tight if you’re going fast. Let up on the gas as you enter, then accelerate out of them.

This is one of the toughest turns on this course. It’s essentially two, but if you do it right, you can drift through the two as if they were one. Hit it fast and tap the brakes as you turn to the left. Lay off the gas and leave the wheels facing forward as you slide around for a bit. Then as you get close to the road you want to take, hit the gas and turn right toward the outside of the turn to correct your direction and exit the drift. Do this correctly and without a collision to significantly boost your Drift Score.

This section of the course takes you through several turns. It starts with a 180-degree turn to the left, followed by several to the right as you go around the city here.

Before you reach the finish, you must take a couple alternating and adjacent turns. Try to chain them together so you transition from one drift to the left and then begin another to the right. This can be tough to do, but worth it for the score. Finally, rush for the finish line.
