This time trial is like a sprint from South Port to Franklin Terrace. It’s a fast race with little room for error. You need a car that can go 200mph for this event. You must complete it in order for Amy to give you another invitation.
Objective: Reach the finish within 1:36.
This race requires you to travel 3.75 miles within 1:36. That means you must maintain an average speed of 145 miles per hour! The first part is the toughest. You have to race through part of South Port and navigate three turns to get onto the freeway.
Since you’re probably approaching the first turn at around 100mph, slow down. It’s better to take it easy around these than lose precious time with a crash. As soon as you take that last turn, it’s a straight shot onto the freeway. Punch it!
Time for the speed run. You need to get up to at least 200mph on the freeway and maintain it. That means you’re going over three times the speed of the traffic in your lanes. Just touching another car would be catastrophic. The turns are long and very wide, so there’s no need to slow down until you are in Franklin Terrace.
Here you have to take a ramp onto another freeway. It has a relatively sharp turn to the right in the middle. Slow down to about 100mph to take it under control, then speed up for a short sprint to the off-ramp.
The off-ramp to Franklin Terrace is not too tight. Drop down to below a hundred so you can take the right turn at the end of the off-ramp.
Then accelerate and coast through a final turn to the left, before flooring it to the finish line. This is a tough time trial, so you may have to try it a few times before getting in under the time.
