Now that you’ve completed the previous two events, you’re ready for the gymkhana. It literally combines both the time trial and the drift trial into one larger event. You probably had the police chasing you before. Well, they are on alert now and expect them again. A gymkhana event has a target Drift Score you must beat, as well as a time limit.
Objective: Score more than 63,000 Drift Score and finish the course within 4:35.
The event begins in Apollo Heights where you did most of the time trial. However, this time, you need to not only be thinking of speed, but also drifting. You can pick up some score as you drift into the parking lot near the start, and then again inside the lot. Don’t forget about the jump into another parking lot at the intersection. It’s a good way to lose any cops pursuing you.
After taking the tight turns through the hill section on the way to Harbor View, you should already have at least half the score you need.
Go around the planter in another parking area and into yet another parking lot to complete the course from the time trial and begin the course for the drift trial. By this time, you should really be focusing on speed. Drift Score will come as you go around those tight turns, so you don’t have to try to find places to drift.
Continue onto the circular tunnel and further into the city. After another circle in a parking lot, don’t forget the grassy jump next to the police station and the race to the circular tunnel.
Sprint all the way to the finish, taking the jump in the parking lot squarely so you can land without crashing. If you run out of time, the event ends and you have to try it again. Many drivers focus too much on drifting and their Drift Score. To ensure you get through it fast enough, only worry about drifting around those fast tight turns where you can score a lot. There are enough of these in the course that you don’t have to worry about places where you won’t score as much or risk slowing down or losing control.
