You’ve beaten the two new time trial records set by Magnus Walker. However, he did it in a car with less than 250 horsepower. For this next time trial, you must show that you have the skills (not just the horsepower) to compete with Magnus.
If you’ve been upgrading your car, it probably has more horsepower than this, so head back to the garage and customize the performance to get it under 250hp. Or, you may have enough money to consider purchasing another car. If so, look for something fast, especially in the quarter mile, as well as a good top speed. Then upgrade it right up to 250hp. Since nitrous oxide does not add to horsepower, be sure to tack this on for an extra burst of speed.
Objective: Run the route as fast as you can in a car with 250hp or less. Finish within 1:55 to win.
The first part of this run has only a wide turn that does not really affect you. Get your car up to top speed and hold it there.
Next up are a couple turns. If your car has good traction, just let off the gas as you enter these turns and accelerate as you exit to the right.
While this section is a wide turn to the left through the middle of an urban area, you can drive as fast as you can. Watch out for traffic, especially cross traffic, since you can’t afford to crash and lose time. The turn tightens toward the end, but all you need to do is lay off the throttle slightly to make it around with control.
As you head back toward the freeway, you take a tighter turn to the left. Again, slow down and then accelerate out of it. Watch your mini-map so you’re ready for the next turns. You need to make a sharp right turn, almost immediately followed by a left turn. Slow down before entering these turns to maintain control. You don’t have to rush through them. Then as you exit, hit the gas.
Get up to top speed, then give it some nitro for an extra push. Expect a slight turn as you go over the railroad tracks, but there’s no need to slow down. Don’t be surprised to see a police car along this route. However, by the time you pass it by, you’re going so fast, that cop will have trouble catching up to you.
There’s a sharp, 90-degree turn to the right. As you approach the bend, slow down and powerslide through it. That usually slows you down just enough for you to take the final turn at speed and hit the finish line under the time limit.
