Manu is setting up another big run, so he has given you another time trial for the first part of the larger run. This event takes place in South Port. Since there is a police station you will be racing past, expect some cops to try to stop you.
Objective: Reach the finish line within 3:09.
The race starts and ends on the freeway. So as soon as you begin, accelerate down the left side of the freeway against traffic all the way to the on-ramp, which you will be using to get off the freeway. Slow down on the on-ramp so you can take the turns under control. You also need to watch for traffic.
Get onto the street and then accelerate. This is a straight run for a bit. As you cross the intersection, make sure you follow the course to the narrow back area by the warehouses. There’s a ramp that if you take fast enough, you can jump over a container and not waste time driving around it and other obstacles.
Now you start driving around the warehouses, making several sharp turns. The key here is to not go too fast. Losing control wastes more time than caution. This is also a great space to lose any police following you.
Get back onto the main roads and continue along the course to the edge of the area. Follow the checkpoints right up a ramp to jump into the police department parking lot and get some more cops to pursue you as you head back toward the warehouses—driving through a gas station along the way.
Speed down the straightaway. About halfway back to the on-ramp, the road takes a sharp right, followed by a sharp left. Slow down here and then follow the course off-road a bit to hit a ramp.
Continue onto the on-ramp and take it around a series of turns until you’re on the freeway. Then let the horses loose and sprint all the way to the finish line to beat the time limit. This is a tough time trial and you need a car with a combination of horsepower and handling to manage the tight turns.
