This drift trial is the other half of Ken and Manu’s ultimate gymkhana. It takes you from the top of the Crescent Mountains all the way down to Burnwood. Ken Block is running this race with you.
Objective: Score 80,000 Drift Score to win this event.
The first leg of this run has several tight turns with some space for accelerating in between. On these turns, don’t drift too close to the inside. There’s about a car’s width of grass on the inside of the turns. If your front wheels touch the grass, you slow down and your drift will not score very high. Instead, try to drift on the inside lane of the road without getting into the grass.
After a short speed run, you hit a couple tight turns here. Pick up some score and then start heading down the hill. There are a few wide turns, but they are not very good for drifting. Don’t worry, more are coming up.
Take a left turn off the main road and follow a winding path off to the monument. You can get a lot of drifting along this stretch.
Continue to the monument and drift almost all the way around it. Then add more Drift Score as you go back around the same turns and return to the main road.
There are only a few turns on this speed run down to Burnwood. Pick up some Drift Score on those, then again as you go around the turn at the intersection.
Cross right over the main road at the edge of Burnwood and into a parking lot. There are some tight turns here where you can pick up some more Drift Score before the finish line.
