Magnus Walker was impressed after racing against you, so he has another sprint race for you. However, this is no freeway run. He challenges you to try to beat him on the curvy mountain roads near Sinner’s Peak.
While speed is important here, control is even more so. Your car needs to grip the road like nobody’s business if you want to stand a chance against Magnus. You need to beat Magnus to get another invitation from him after this race.
Objective: Beat Magnus Walker to the finish line in this sprint race.
Magnus’ car is fast, but he slows down on the turn. This first leg has some very tight turns connected by short straightaways. Build up speed on the straightaways, then slow down as you approach the turns. If you try to turn without slowing down, you will drive right into the guardrails. Then accelerate out of the turn and get ready for the next one. The last few turns here have some long straightaways, so stay on Magnus here and then pass him on the turns.
You have some long fairly straight runs here with a hairpin turn in the middle. The straightaways still have some turns, so take each one on the inside to drive a straight line through them. Be sure to slow down for the hairpin turn to the left. Especially since you approach it at high speed.
The next section has a lot of tight turns. You are either accelerating out of a turn here, or slowing down as you enter one. Try to stay in the middle and powerslide around the turns.
When the road comes to a T-intersection, go to the left. Speed up along the straight section here, but get ready for a turn to the right. Stay on the inside as you enter and exit wide.
After coming around that turn, you now have a series of turns that are difficult because they’re close together. Immediately after taking a turn to the left, you have to go around a 180-degree turn to the right, which is then followed by a turn to the left. The key is to maintain control through each one. Try to hold an inside line around these turns so you’re in a better position for the next one. Then hit the gas and go as fast as you can. There are some shallow turns, so take them on the inside. If you were able to get out in front of Magnus, he tries to catch up and pass you here.
The final big turn of the race is to the right and relatively wide. Don’t be overconfident and fail to slow down here, even if Magnus is on your tail. He slows down a bit and you need to maintain control. Start accelerating just before you exit and sprint to the finish line. There are a few shallow turns, so take them on the inside and get to the end before Magnus or you have to do this event again.
