Now you get challenged to a touge. This is all about speed with some drifting mixed in. You need to get as much Drift Score as you can within the time limit. Once again, you are in the hills of El Rey.
Objective: Drift at the front of the pack and get the most Drift Score to win.
You have a straightaway at the start, so use it to build up speed. Then take care around several tight turns in this area where you can score a lot. Focus on not colliding during the drift to build a good score for the start of the event.
This section of the touge is the speed run. There’s a tight turn in the middle where you can drift to raise your score and then accelerate again to stay out in front or catch up if you got behind.
After the speed run, expect a trio of alternating turns. They’re not tight, but you still should slow down slightly as you enter them to avoid losing control. Drift around all of them.
Now you get another trio of turns. However, these are all the 180-degree variety. They’re also a bit more narrow and tighter, so drift along in the middle of the road to avoid hitting anything. As you exit, hit the gas and pick up speed for drifting around a wider turn to the right.
The road around the water treatment plant has three turns that are relatively wide. Try drifting around all of them. As you leave the last one, floor it to regain speed.
You hit an S-curve here. It’s not very tight and if you don’t need any more Drift Score, don’t even worry about trying to drift here. However, if you’re still short on score, be sure to do a good drift around the last turn to the right before you reach the finish line.
