Fish from the Risky Devils gives you a call this time. He is headed to South Port and wants to know if you would like to do some drifting with him. He has a short course with some tight curves.
He’s bringing along four of his friends, so there will be six of you drifting a short course. Plus, this contest is four minutes long, so you have time to run the course several times. Avoid collisions that prevent you from scoring.
Objective: Earn the most Drift Score in 4:00 to win.
You are basically drifting around two large warehouses. Pick up speed as you get started, then be ready to take a ramp to the left that takes you around the first warehouse.
Either get out in front or let the other cars pass you when you get to this turn. It’s tight and narrow and it is difficult to drift around with another car without colliding. Speed up as you exit.
You have a short run to another turn around the other end of the first warehouse. This one is wider, so there’s more room for drifting.
Floor it as you make a speed run past the first warehouse, as well as the second.
Be careful on this turn. It has a divider between two lanes here. You are taking the farther lane, so drift a bit later. It’s hard to see the divider until you start going around the turn—and then it’s too late. You don’t want to crash into the divider and, if you turn into the wrong lane, you must turn around and go back to take the correct lane to hit the next checkpoint.
This is another speed run past both warehouses. Race down this stretch, and then take a turn—the same one you did at point 3—and start the course over again. You can easily make four or five laps around this course within the time limit.
