Manu has found a togue for you to run. It’s in El Rey and runs toward Sinner’s Peak. A togue is a combination of a race with drifting. You must complete the event in a set time and score more drift than your opponents. There are four other drivers in this event.
Objective: Drift at the front of the pack and earn the most Drift Score to win.
This event has a lot of tight turns that are great for drifting. Don’t even try drifting around the gentle curve at the start. Instead, speed up so you can hit that first hairpin while going fast and score some points right from the beginning.
After the first several turns, you get a longer straight section. Punch it here and drift with a lot of speed around the turn to the left. Then accelerate again for another tight turn, this time to the right.
For the next long straightway, focus on getting ahead of the other racers. Don’t waste speed or time trying for a small score around the slight turns. There’s a tight turn in the middle where you should be able to really score with all your speed—if you can handle it. After getting around it, you hit another speed run. Sprint to the other end.
At the end of the speed run, you have a tight turn to the right followed by a series of three alternating 180-degree turns. Accelerate between the turns and slow down a bit as you enter so you can start drifting.
The next two turns are a bit more complex. There are shallow turns on the stretches between tight ones, so it’s important not to drive too fast and lose control on the shallow turns or it could cost you opportunities to score big on the tight ones. Finally, there’s a turn to the right that takes you to the finish line, so hit it fast and use this last chance to increase your score.
