Need For Speed eGuide Walkthrough Crew

Lock It Down

You got the speed, but do you have the style? Robyn has a drift contest set up for you next. Meet her in Royal Park and drift with other drivers around the turns and curves of the city. This is a quick drift contest and you need to get as many drifts as you can within 1:30.

Objective: Earn the most Drift Score to win.

Accelerate at the start and try to get out in front of the other five drivers so you’re in the lead at the first turn to the right. You don’t want to be drifting at the same time as other cars and risk hitting them and losing any score for that drift.

Pick up speed after the first corner, then take the next turn as quickly as you can. It’s a wide one, so you have plenty of room. Don’t worry if the other cars pass you. That can actually be a good thing since they are not in your way while you’re drifting. Then you can concentrate on getting the best drifts and not worry about colliding with another racer.

This is a tight turn to the left at an intersection. Drift around it, then floor it. There’s a slight turn to the left halfway through this section, so score some more with a quick drift around it.

After this brief speed run, you have a couple left turns in a row. The second one is tighter than the first, but you can drift around both. Don’t slow down as much on the first one and take it fast so you have enough speed to drift around the second. Then speed up along a straightaway before you have to make another left turn at the next intersection.

Floor it so you have plenty of speed for the next turns. This section has four right turns in a row. The key here is to regain your speed between each one.

Now head back toward the start. There are three turns that take you around to begin the course again. Since this is a short run, you will probably not be able to make it around the entire course again before time runs out.
