Once you beat Magnus in the Business or Pleasure event, he gives you a call. He has another sprint race for you. This time it’s in Burnwood. While it has a short leg on the freeway, the rest are on city streets where there’s more traffic—and cops.
Objective: Beat Magnus Walker to the finish line in this sprint race.
The race starts off on a little island. Race around the turns. They’re pretty tight and, if you’re trying to accelerate as you go around them, you’ll run into the walls. Also look ahead to the next turn so you can plan your exit from one to position yourself to enter the next.
You enter the freeway via an off-ramp and will be driving against traffic. Get going as fast as you can and stay on the left side since you need to be there for the exit and the freeway is divided.
Magnus has you exiting the freeway using the on-ramp. Maintain your speed and then slow down as the ramp makes a tight turn to the right. Stay in control and be ready for a turn to the left onto a main road. Don’t take this turn too wide or you may hit obstacles and crash. Hit the gas and get back up to speed.
Powerslide around the sharp turn to the right. You are now on a wide road with shallow turns. Put the pedal to the metal and let those horses loose! There are some cops shortly after the turn, so watch from them pulling out in front of you. By the time to get to the end of this leg, they will be left behind in your dust.
Watch for the T-intersection at the end of this road. You need to make a turn to the left. Slow down and powerslide if necessary. Again, avoid taking it wide or you might hit some obstacles on the right side of the road and crash. Accelerate out of the turn and punch it.
There are some wide, shallow turns as you race along the main road. Try to stay in the middle as you go around these turns to avoid obstacles. As you get near the finish line, you have a long wide turn to the left. However, in the middle it has a shallow turn to the right. It doesn’t look bad on the mini-map, but this turn can hurt you if you are not prepared. Slow down as you approach it. Take these turns on the inside so you have a straighter driving line. Once you get around this smaller turn, accelerate around the longer, wider turn to the left all the way to the finish line.
