Up for another event? How about a sprint race from down the Cascade Mountains all the way to Burnwood? Can you expect cops? Of course—this is an Outlaw challenge! Plus, there’s a cop who wants to race. If you win, he lets you go. If you lose, he throws the book at you.
Objective: Race to the finish line and be the first to cross to win.
The cop joins the race as soon as you reach the dam. After a couple turns at the start, you have a straight run where you can build velocity.
Since you gained a lot of speed, you must now slow down before entering the first turn or your car won’t make the turn. Keep heading downhill around a few more turns while putting more distance between yourself and the law.
Even if you were able to get into cooldown, you won’t escape because another cop is at the next intersection. Slow down again for a couple of turns, then speed back up.
Another cop joins the procession at the gas station. There are a couple more turns and then you’re in the tunnel. It’s fairly straight, so get those horses running! There’s a turn near the turn, so you may want to let up on the gas and then speed back up as you exit and cross the intersection—right in front of another cop.
Now you have a chance to show your proficiency at taking turns at high speed. There are several alternating turns that work their way down the foothills. Try to lose the cops here. If you can go into cooldown and escape, you score an extra 10,000 Rep.
If you don’t escape before this intersection, cooldown ends as yet one more cop comes after you. Powerslide around the turn, then punch it at the intersection to speed across the finish line first.
Escape a Chase with at least $5000 in fines
You must complete this challenge before you get another event. This time, bait the cops long enough to get at least $5000 in fines. Hitting a cop car, damaging property, and doing a lot of reckless driving with cops in sight is a good way to get that fine up. Make sure you don’t go into cooldown or you’ll have to start over again if you end up escaping. Just try doubling back on the cops to keep them close. Then bug out and make your escape once you get to $5000.
