You did well on the drift train, but you must keep up if you want to drift with a larger crew. A circuit race is just what you need. Once again, you’re racing in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, as well as across the main street at the top of Burnwood.
Robyn has invited three other drivers to join the two of you for a bit more competition. Be sure you tune your car before heading to this event. You want it to grip rather than drift so you can take those turns with speed rather than style.
Objective: Run the circuit race with Robyn and be the first across the finish line to win.
Punch it at the start. You must reach your top speed as quickly as you can during this straightaway. Try to get out in front of as many other cars as possible. When you reach the intersection where you take a right, cut the turn on the inside, powerslide around it, and hit the gas.
Accelerate as you climb the hill, then slow down a bit when you come up to the first turns. Since you’re going uphill, just letting off the gas may work, but you might need to just tap the brakes. Powerslide around tighter turns and drive fast around the wider ones.
You can go around this long wide turn at high speed. Race straight across the intersection and keep going. There’s other traffic on the road, so watch out for slower moving vehicles such as trucks. Don’t crash into them or you’ll fall behind.
Since you’re approaching the wide turn at high speed, tap your brakes as you enter to get the weight back on those front wheels so you don’t crash right into the guardrails. Accelerate as you come out of the turn.
Make your way around two more turns. Powerslide if necessary, but slowing down allows you to maintain control and still hold your speed. When you reach the intersection, take a sharp left turn and then a right onto the Burnwood street.
Drive as fast as you can along this speed run to begin the second lap. Since you’ve had the first lap to try it out and see what you face, you should be able to drive the second lap faster and under more control so that when you come back here, you’re the first across the finish line.
