Red Keep
Triumph Over Mors In A Duel Or Triumph Over Alester In A Duel.
Objective Point A
After you hear the tale of what really happened that fateful day at Westford Cottage, Mors condemns Alester. No matter what is said, too much pain has occurred to forgive. The two of you will duel to the death.
If you are playing Mors, begin by commanding Dog to open with his best attack, preferably one that will stun or knock down Alester. Follow up with a powerful attack of your own that takes advantage of his incapacitated state. Pay attention to your abilities that Bleed or deal extra damage based on the situation; if you use these efficiently, you’ll deal more damage to Alester over the course of the battle. Conserve energy too. It’s a long battle, and though you want to get off your big attacks, you don’t want to be drained of energy at a crucial point in the fight when you desperately need a stun or an interrupt ability.
While Dog’s ability recharges, use a stun or knockdown ability to keep Alester off balance. Attacks like Shield Strike, Earthquaker, and Cutthroat give you precious seconds to recharge energy and avoid damage.
When you knock Alester down to half of his health, the Gold Cloaks who were pounding on the door to the throne room come crashing in. They interrupt your battle, and you’re forced to deal with them before you can continue your duel to the death.
If you are playing Alester, you won’t have Dog, so stun Mors immediately and follow with a powerful attack that takes advantage of his incapacitated state. Conserve energy too. Use a stun or knockdown ability to keep Mors off balance. Attacks like Calm as Still Water, Strong as a Bear, Blinding Dust, and Paralyzing Powder give you precious seconds to recharge energy and avoid damage. Look for combos in your stance that exploit Mors’s vulnerable state, such as Dexterity’s Head Shot, which interrupts and knocks down Mors, and Focus, which regenerates energy quickly; it’s possible to set up a cycle of continuous Head Shots that will keep Mors down on the ground for the majority of the fight.
When you knock Mors down to half of his health, the Gold Cloaks who were pounding on the door to the throne room come crashing in. They interrupt your battle, and you’re forced to deal with them before you can continue your duel to the death.
Strike Down The Group Of Gold Cloaks That Interrupted Your Duel.
After the Gold Cloaks break into the throne room, they surround you. In one last battle together, you agree to fight as a team against the queen’s men. There are many tough enemies in this final large group battle. It will take a coordination of talents to escape alive.
Mors or Alester should stun immediately so that you can get out of the middle of all the attacking weapons. Send Dog to immobilize a nearby enemy, preferably one who isn’t stunned or begins to chase after you. Work together on dealing damage to cut down enemies one by one.
Use the pillar around the room to your advantage. If you need to hide temporarily from enemy archers, duck behind a pillar, or if several enemies try to swarm you, move around a pillar to break them apart.
Powerful abilities can keep the enemies at bay, and a flask full of Wildfire will destroy a foe in seconds. This fight will tax your reserves, so carefully weigh when to use abilities and when to conserve. You will need to recover at least once during the fight; just make sure that both Alester and Mors don’t have to recover at the same time. In the end, your superior group tactics and proven battle experience will beat the Gold Cloaks.
There Is Nothing Left That Can Prevent This Fight. Your Friend Must Die...
With the queen’s guards dead, you return to your duel. Continue with similar tactics as earlier to keep your opponent on the defensive. If you’re playing Mors, when you drop Alester to half his health, he uses his powers of R’hllor to ignite his weapon; he will set you on fire and cause additional damage over time, so you’ll have to quicken your damage output. If you’re playing Alester, when you drop Mors to half his health, he will get a free charge on you, unexpectedly damaging you and suddenly placing you both face-to-face in melee.
At one-quarter health, Alester calls upon greater R’hllor fire powers to destroy you as Mors. In similar fashion, Mors roars when he’s down to one-quarter of his health and bolsters a fierce counterattack against you in the final moments of the battle.
It will be a bloodbath, but in the end you will have to beat your companion to survive. When you land the final blow to drop his health to zero, you are victorious and trigger your friend’s death scene.
After some parting words, you finish off your friend with one last executioner’s stroke. One destiny ends while the other continues to a fork in the road.
Varys shows up with Jeyne’s child as promised. The fork in your destiny appears when you have to make one final choice. For Mors, he must choose to take care of the child for Jeyne’s sake, or live and die at his post on the Wall. For Alester, he must choose to hand the child over to Queen Cersei as ransom for his kingdom or defy the queen and keep the boy’s whereabouts a secret.
