King’s Landing Sewers
Now That You Are In The Tunnels, Quietly Make Your Way To Where Harlton Was Supposed To Meet Gawen And Search For Clues
Objective Point A
Desmond guides you to the sewers and informs you that your route will have to go through the arena, a pit where patrons bet on warriors who battle it out, sometimes to the death. He warns you to be on your guard throughout the sewer tunnels: all manner of scum float through here.
Objective Point B
Enter the arena area. Feel free to explore all the doors and corridors that connect to it. Some lead to the lower levels where combatants prepare for battle; others lead up to the surface. You can collect some additional loot through exploration.
Objective Point C
When you’re ready to proceed deeper into the sewers, take the door in the arena’s southwest corner. Pass through the tattered curtain in the corridor and turn left at the next intersection.
Objective Point D
You approach a mugging in progress. It’s too late to save the poor man, but you can make the muggers pay for their cruelty. Send Desmond in to Bully them while you hang back and cut down the wounded.
Watch out for a second group that may appear from behind you. Eliminate the first group, then have Desmond Bully the second group and defend with Retaliation as you deliver killing blows with your better abilities. After you kill off all the enemies, retrieve the Key to the Sewer Drain from the dead man who was mugged.
Objective Point E
Continue on and use the keys you just received to enter the storeroom to the south. Two members of the Reaper clan discuss their latest mercenary deed, and when you finally confront them, they attack.
One Reaper wears heavy armor, and the other wears medium armor. Match up with whichever enemy you think you can handle, and let Desmond take on the other. Remember to switch your weapon to either perforating or blunt to deal extra damage against your foe.
One Reaper survives the fight: Porky. Ask him to give you Gawen’s Broken Locket, your first clue that your brother was indeed here in the sewers. Porky also tells you how to find the Reaper den where his bosses reside. Follow the Reaper symbols painted on the walls, and they lead you to the den. At the end of the conversation, you can choose to kill or release Porky, and you need to grab the Reapers’ Master Key from the other dead Reaper.
The Reapers Appear To Be Related To The Murder. Find Their Den By Following The Signs They Use To Mark The Way
Objective Point F
Continue south and use the Reapers’ Master Key to penetrate deeper into the sewers. Follow the skull and scythe symbols painted on the walls to locate the Reapers’ den.
Objective Point G
Head east and carefully peek around corners and open doors. The Reapers infest these corridors, and you’ll have to fight through guards to reach the den. If you take the groups out one by one and don’t run around and draw attention to yourself, you should be fine.
Objective Point H
Take the opportunity to ambush enemy groups with a sneak attack if you have a ranged weapon. If not, charging around a corner at an enemy group can close you to melee range quickly before they can ready ranged weapons of their own.
Objective Point I
Flip the lever in the small room to the north. This allows you to continue on to the Reapers’ den.
Objective Point J
You have one last fight before the Reapers’ den. A group of guards defend the chamber in front of the stairs leading up to the den. Send Desmond into their midst to corral them with Bully; then hit them with an ability that affects multiple foes or stun any enemy that breaks away from the pack. You’ll have them all down on the ground in less than a minute if you attack wounded enemies before the healthier ones.
Objective Point K
You’ve reached the Reapers’ infamous hideout. Enter through the large oak door with the skull and scythe symbol on it to confront the Reaper leaders.
Objective Point L
Attack the guards inside the door with the same tactics you’ve been using. There are also guards in the hallway beyond. Once you’ve killed them all, you can finally find Axe, the Reaper lieutenant, behind the last door to the south.
Objective Point M
Axe and his cronies, the same Reapers who tried to mug you when you first arrived in King’s Landing, are running affairs while their leader, Orys, is missing in action. Axe doesn’t take kindly to you barging into their den, so it’s brawl time.
You should have your teamwork down by now: Desmond draws foes toward him with Bully and defends well with Retaliate, and you slay enemies one by one with your best damage-dealing attacks. There are a lot of foes, but most aren’t well armored. Pick off the lightly armored foes and leave Axe for last.
When you take Axe down, he concedes. He doesn’t know much about Gawen’s disappearance, but his boss, Orys, might. Axe explains that Orys was captured by the Gold Cloaks and brought to the City Watch Tower. If you want to learn more about how the Reapers obtained Gawen’s necklace, you’ll have to infiltrate the Watch Tower. You can then choose to kill Axe or release him.
Objective Point N
Exit back to King’s Landing through the den’s back door. Desmond agrees that the City Watch Tower holds your answers, but first you’ll have to pose as a Gold Cloak and obtain a full uniform: breastplate, helm, boots, gloves, and cloak.
