If you play through the game’s end as Mors and choose the dialogue option “I will live and die at my post...at the Wall,” when Varys brings Jeyne’s child to the throne room, you unlock Mors’s second epilogue. You return to Castle Black just as Lord Commander Mormont orders another execution.
The deserter is Patrek, and the guilt from forsaking Jeyne’s child combined with seeing your former companion moments from death plunges you into despair. You scare Mormont’s youngest crop of recruits by telling them that they’re just marking time until death comes for them...soon.
You grab the executioner axe and lop off Patrek’s head. You have honored your commitment to the Night’s Watch by returning to the Wall, but maybe you’ve dishonored your soul in the process.
