King’s Landing
Ask Falena What She Knows Of Your Brother
Objective Point A
Leave the Sarwyck Manse and return to King’s Landing. Look for the closest stairs and head to the upper levels of King’s Landing. Madame Chataya’s establishment is in a cul-de-sac with the red rose gardens and red lights out front.
Objective Point A
Speak with Chataya in front of the house. You are old acquaintances, so she tells you where to find Falena without much persuasion. The girl is located upstairs at the end of the corridor on the left.
Objective Point B
A stranger greets you in the corridor upstairs before you can reach Falena’s room. He introduces himself as Varys, and you know him as the Spider, a master spy for King Targaryen who has been given a new job with the current ruling family. You also know him to be a eunuch, so he’s not in a brothel for the whores; he’s looking to run into you. He warns you that Valarr is a formidable foe and that you may need Varys’s help against him at a future date.
Book Watch: Varys
Varys is a key character in A Game of Thrones novel too. He plays the role of King Robert’s master spy and master manipulator in the behind-the-scenes decisions shaping the kingdom. Just as Alester is torn on Varys’s ambitions and loyalties—should he trust him or not?—Eddard Stark is put in the same position with dire events transpiring around him.
Objective Point C
After your conversation with Varys, seek out Falena in her room. She informs you that she hasn’t seen Gawen in days. You find out that Gawen made it to King’s Landing and was headed for the Red Keep when Falena saw him last. Falena also gives you Gawen’s old cloak (Sarwyck Giltwaters), which she has been hanging on for him but feels it’s better off in your hands. It’s probably an upgrade in your cloak slot, so equip it after your conversation ends with Falena.
Meet In The Red Keep To Follow Gawen’s Tracks
Objective Point D
Return back downstairs. Unfortunately, your past actions have caught up with you. Gold Cloaks have arrived for you after finding their dead comrades at Sarwyck Manse. Apparently, someone spotted you leaving the Manse and the guard followed you to Chataya’s. The Gold Cloaks threaten to cause mayhem to the place if you don’t come quietly, so you turn over your weapons without a fight. They lock you up in the Red Keep’s dungeon, awaiting your trial to clear your name.
