Return To The Balcony To Find Out What Happened To Poddy

Objective Point A

When last you played Mors, you had defeated Gorn as a seemingly endless horde of wildings assaulted you. Unconsciousness overtook you even as you thought you spied Night’s Watch brothers arriving to your rescue. As you regain consciousness, Qhorin Halfhand, the leader of your Shadow Tower brothers, fills you in on recent events. They arrived just in time to save you, but there is no sign of Poddy, the young recruit you left on the balcony to cover you during the battle with Gorn’s wildlings.

Objective Point B

You thank Qhorin and then must retrace your steps back up to the balcony where you last saw Poddy. Sweep the battlefield for loot, and check Gorn’s corpse for two special items: Gorn’s Armor and Gorn’s Axe (two-handed weapon).

Up on the balcony, look for the bow lying on the floor. Poddy must have dropped his bow and abandoned his post, and since there is no blood around the area, he wasn’t attacked by Gorn’s wildlings here. He may have fled, so you’ll have to track Poddy down.

Switch to Mors’s dog and sniff around the area. Once you catch hold of Poddy’s scent, you’ll see whiffs of yellow mist (the scent trail) leading from his bow back up the stairs. Follow the trail to the outside courtyard with the bonfire.

Objective Point C

In the courtyard, scent trails will start mixing. Yellow represents the main smell you are tracking. White stands for any other quest smells that may exist in the area. Blue scents are exploration smells that lead to hidden items. Stay on the yellow trail if you want to find Poddy.

Objective Point D

Follow Poddy’s scent trail out the western exit and down the slope. Dog picks up Poddy’s footprint on the edge of the Gift. When he calls Mors to investigate, you see that Poddy’s footprints are the only ones in the area—there are no wildling prints—which means he fled on his own and is a deserter.
