Go Back To Lord Harlton’s Residence And Tell Him What You’ve Discovered
Objective Point A
Whether alone or with Orys by your side, you finally escape the City Watch Tower and exit back out into King’s Landing. Say farewell to Orys if you saved him, and set off for Lord Harlton’s estate. You don’t have to wear your Gold Cloak armor any longer; however, it may be an upgrade to your previous equipment, in which case you may want to keep it on.
Side Quest: Self-Made Girl
Speak with Hubb near the fountain at the entrance to the city after you exit the City Watch Tower to pick up this side quest. A friend of Hubb’s, Bethany, is in trouble, and he asks for your help to save her. You can start this quest now or pick it up anytime for the next several chapters, so decide when you’d like to take a break from the main quest. For more details on how to earn the Maiden statuette and complete the quest, see the “Side Quests” chapter.
Objective Point B
Speak with Harlton back at the estate. You tell him that you have discovered that Valarr had a hand in murdering Gawen, and Harlton links the series of murders in King’s Landing to the bastard child. It seems the queen is ordering that bastard children be executed, including Harry Waters, who you executed earlier. Harlton has a lead on a book that discusses the lineage of the Seven Kingdoms, which Jon Arryn thought valuable before his death and Harlton also thinks is worth looking into. You volunteer to go with Ser Desmond to the arena again and talk to Harlton’s man about this lineage book.
Objective Point C
Head back to the trapdoor that leads into the sewers. If you want to upgrade some equipment or restock potions, now is a good time to detour to the marketplace before visiting the arena.
