Game of Thrones eGuide Walkthrough Chapter 15: Old Scar

Chapter 15: Old Scar - Westford Cottage

Westford Cottage

Your Orders Are Clear. Like It Or Not, House Westford Must Pay For Having Disobeyed Their Liege Lord.

Objective Point A

In a flashback sequence, you arrive as Alester at the Westford Cottage alongside your half brother, Valarr. Mors has left for the Night’s Watch, and he has entrusted you to protect his family. Alas, you cannot. Lord Tywin Lannister has discovered Mors’s family cottage and ordered you and Valarr to execute Mors’s wife and child as an example for disobeying a direct command during the war.

Approach Cerenna Westford near the cottage. She’s shocked to see you—and with a stranger by your side. Eventually you deduces that you’re here to kill her. She begs for mercy, or at the very least for you to kill her but to let her daughter go.

Do Your Duty.

Objective Point B

Valarr sadistically volunteers to torture and kill Mors’s daughter, Tya. You are left with Cerenna and have two choices: kill her or not. It would seem the moral choice is to not kill her; however, that works out worse. If you kill her, you slit her throat quickly and it’s over. If you choose to let her live, Cerenna has to listen to her daughter’s screams as she bangs futilely on the locked cottage door. When the screams finally stop, she attacks you in despair and you end up stabbing her anyway.

Valarr exits the cottage enthused with the brutality. Despising him for the loathsome bully that he really is, you want to kill him, but he’s blood. In a fit of rage and grief, you slash Valarr’s face instead, leaving him a constant reminder of this day and a burning hatred that will come back to haunt you 15 years later.
