Meet Lord Harlton Outside His Residence In King’s Landing To Study The Book That Maester Rupert Gave You
Objective Point A
Once you’re topside, you can return to Lord Harlton, or you may want to venture around the city first. At this point, you receive the “Blood on the Sand” side quest and can return to the arena to battle multiple combatants and earn a lot of coin.
Side Quest: Blood on the Sand
After your first victory in the arena, and after you leave the sewers, you can return for the “Blood on the Sand” side quest. You have the chance to battle five times and wager on yourself or your opponent to earn coin. You can make a lot of money on this quest, so it’s highly recommended that you participate as soon as you have the extra time on your hands. For more details on the arena fights and completing the quest, see the “Side Quests” chapter.
Objective Point B
After puzzling through the book together with Lord Harlton, you figure out that the queen’s children are illegitimate and the bastards who have been killed recently are the true descendants of King Robert Baratheon. Harlton confides in you that he’s been secretly trying to overthrow the current regime, with your father as one of his co-conspirators, and return rule back to the Targaryens. Harlton also informs you that your father kept a list detailing all of Valarr’s abuses of power and that it must be hidden back at Riverspring.
Objective Point C
Leave for Riverspring when you are ready. As you near the exit, Marianne Harlton, Arwood’s niece, catches up with you. Through the conversation, you learn that Marianne and Arwood are the last two remaining Harltons and that the Harlton family has suffered greatly because they supported the old regime, the Targaryens. Finally, Marianne bids you farewell and you return to your home city.
