Prerequisite: Complete Blood of Oros and build Wogah’s hut
Main Objective: Climb the cliff and collect Rare Feathers from the Eagle nests
Difficulty: Hard
Awards: 1000 XP
Special: Unlocks Rare Feathers
Enemies: Eagles
Overview
After building Wogah’s hut, talk to him just outside and he offers to create new tools for you. But first, he wants you to collect Rare Feathers from Eagle nests to the north. Your new grappling claw allows you to reach the heights necessary to find these elusive resources.
Move around the left side of the lake and climb up the vines to the first ledge. Use the grappling claw on the first point ahead and swing across the gap.
Strategy
As you reach the water next to Eagle Cry Peak, the mission begins. Five Eagle nests are scattered up the cliff ahead. The mission helps get you familiar with the grappling claw as you climb and swing your way to the top.
Climb and grapple up to the next ledge. Crouch and crawl under the low clearing ahead before ascending more vines.
Turn around and grapple up to find the first nest. Grab the Rare Feathers that sit inside, turn around, and carefully cross the log that fills the next gap.
To the left is a weak wall that leads to a hidden room with two sacks inside. Watch out for the snakes. Back outside, use the grappling point high up the north face. Turn left and make a running leap to the next ledge where more Rare Feathers sit in a nest.
Three grappling points jut out from the cliff side ahead in succession. Use the grappling claw on the first, swing toward the second, attach to the second when the prompt appears, and repeat on the third. You can reach a fourth point on an upper ledge as you swing forward. The third group of Rare Feathers awaits inside another nest.
Ahead, vines lead up to the highest point. Watch out as the Eagle attacks become more frequent. Forward on the left is another Eagle nest, but you don’t need it. Hop onto the fallen tree to the right and carefully walk out to the final nest to snatch the final group of Rare Feathers.
Take a leap of faith from the Eagle nest into the water below to complete the mission.
