Overview

Jayma is an expert hunter who is currently with her hunting party southeast of the village. She is brash and thinks that Takkar needs help improving his skills. Grab the Tame Apex Predators skill if possible before starting this mission.

Strategy

Approach the objective marker to meet the arrogant hunter. It is time to show her you are no slouch. Enable Hunter Vision to find Bear prints leading to the east. Follow them down the hill; stopping to investigate the damage the Bear has done along the way. Pay attention to the way the prints face as there are gaps in the trail. Continue in that direction to pick it back up.

Track the Bear south and then east to the big lake. The trail continues over a strip of land across the water, along the coast to the left and on over to the narrow island located to the northeast. Here you find your target. If you have the ability to tame Apex Predators, then toss bait out and add it to your companions; a powerful option for tougher foes. It also uncovers and gives you nearby resources when idle. Otherwise, take the Bear down with some spear throws. Cross the water to the south to show off your new pet to the hunters—if that is the way you handled it.
