Far Cry Primal eGuide Secondary Quests Help Wenja: Beast Kill

Helpful Tips

It’s time to help your fellow Wenja by hunting down beasts causing various problems in their lives. Every mission starts by speaking to a Wenja tribesman. They tell you about an issue caused by wildlife and then a new marker shows up on your map. This next map marker actually starts the mission.

You can talk to each tribe member without starting the mission. So if you find yourself near one of the Objective starting locations, speak to the tribesman before moving on.

Below are some helpful tips that will aid you in each Beast Kill mission, as well as facing beasts anywhere in Oros.

Hunt During the Day!

Hunting during the day helps you spot the animals and prevents other predatory beasts from spawning during your fight.

Food Choice

Making Scent Camouflage your quick heal food choice has a great impact on your ability to sneak up on predatory animals and get away when they decide to chase you. It does this by making it harder for the animal to detect you, and, on top of all of that it heals two health! Make sure you have a fair amount of Violet Leaves though, as it requires two Meat and one Violet Leaf to craft.

Use Bait!

Using bait not only helps you tame an animal; it is a great way to call out and distract animals while you line them up for an easy shot.

Bring your Beast

Each Beast Companion awards you benefits; some of them are very helpful when hunting other animals

Bear: The Bear causes enemies, including other Beasts, to attack them first, allowing you to stay out of the fight while helping the Bear wreak havoc on your enemies.

Badger: All animals on Oros fear the Badger. Having a Badger at your side keeps even the most aggressive animals at bay, as long as you don’t get overrun. The Badger even revives itself from death one time.

Leopard: The Leopard is the only animal that can tag other animals. This ability to tag animals in a nearby radius prevents anything from sneaking up on you.

Wolf: The Wolf reveals more terrain on your mini-map, helping you to see the different advantages the nearby terrain has to offer. It is also a decent fighter and growls to alert you to the presence of hostile beasts and tribes.

Helpful Skills

Take these skills with you into the Beast Hunting area and you dominate your prey.

Sprint Forever: You can run forever, giving you the ability to flee any bad situation.

Tame Canines, Wildcats, Apex Predators, Cunning Beasts: Having all of the taming skills unlocked allows you to tame creatures instead of killing them, which is much easier. You can also have much more powerful Beast companions, helping you in all aspects of the game.

Tag Animals: Both you and your Owl can tag animals. Once tagged, animals show up on your HUD or mini-map until they are eliminated.

Animal Wounds: Animal wounds increases the amount of damage your weapons inflict against animals.

Mammoth Rider: The Mammoth is the strongest weapon in the game. The ability to use a Mammoth against the Wolves and Bears in the Beast Kill missions is worth all of the skill points in the world. Plus, you get to ride a Mammoth so it’s just flat out AWESOME!
