Far Cry Primal eGuide Takkar's Journey Main Missions Wogah the Crafter

The Lost Totem

The Lost Totem

Prerequisite: Complete The Peak of Oros

Main Objective: Recover scraps of the old Wenja totem from the Udam

Difficulty: Hard

Awards: 1000 XP

Enemies: Udam Elite Archers, Udam Elite Scourge, Udam Spearmen, Udam Scourges, Udam Warriors, Udam Slingers

Overview

Find Wogah just outside his hut. He talks about the Udam attack on the old Wenja home, which broke their totem in the process. He wants you to kill Udam and take back the totem scraps, so he can build a new one.

Strategy

As you near the Wogah marker, the mission begins. Your first objective is to tag the totem looters. Quietly approach their location on the Daywa Snake Path and aim at each Udam to identify them; a double circle icon appears above those who hold the totem scraps. They also highlight in red with Hunter Vision enabled. Stay in the shadows as you identify the three looters.

Once they have been exposed, set out to take them down. It doesn’t matter how you do it—with stealth or all out warfare—you just need to kill and search the three looters. Once you are detected though, they tend to run, so be aware that a chase may be involved. Start by taking down the Udam Elite Archer as he stands guard on the rock above. Look for the three quest markers to quickly identify the scrap locations. Watch for poison bombs, Wolves, and attacking Udam as you collect the three pieces of the totem. The runners lead you into Lone Spear Camp, which is occupied by the Udam, so be alert for more enemies. Once you obtain the third scrap, the mission is complete. Talk to Wogah at the village to see the new totem.

My favorite character? Wogah the crafter. Because even if we are in the Mesolithic era, even if he is surrounded by other strong and brutish people, he was able to invent something to help him and his tribe survive. How cool is the grappling claw?!
