REQUIRED SKILL: None
Snowblood Wolf
Strength: 4
Speed: 3
Stealth: 4
Revive Cost: Red Leaf x3
Passive Ability 1: Growls to warn of nearby enemies or predators.
Passive Ability 2: Reveals +350 feet of terrain around you in the Map menu. Reveals more territory on your mini-map.
Complete the Snowblood Wolf hunt to tame this canine. Its stats are well balanced. Like other dogs, it warns of nearby enemies by growling. It also reveals a wider range in the mini-map and Map menu. Its lack of stealth make it a poor choice when trying to go undetected.
Bloodfang Sabretooth
Strength: 5
Speed: 5
Stealth: 3
Revive Cost: Red Leaf x5
Passive Ability 1: Very fast predator.
To get the Bloodfang Sabretooth, you must hunt it down in the Beast Master Hunt quest. It is a good choice for almost any situation. It isn’t the strongest or stealthiest, it isn’t even the fastest, but it still does a great job in all three areas. It can take down the biggest and strongest foes, chase down most wildlife, and still fight by your side against an enemy tribe—remaining undetected.
Great Scar Bear
Strength: 5
Speed: 3
Stealth: 2
Revive Cost: Red Leaf x5
Passive Ability 1: Draws enemy attacks in battle.
The Great Scar Bear must be defeated as part of the Beast Master Hunts before gaining access to the beast. The Bear is very powerful and relatively fast for its size, though leave this one at home if you wish to remain undetected. It does a good job as the tank, drawing the focus of the enemy while you pick them off from afar. It can go longer between feedings than other beasts, but still keep an eye on its health.
