The best way to accomplish this mission is by grabbing a Mammoth from the area to the east and riding it into the hunting Area. You’ll be able to easily trample Brown Bears and Cave Bears without issue. You can even use Spears to weaken the Cave Bears from atop the Mammoth to make things easier.
If you haven’t learned how to ride a Mammoth yet, you need to rely on your Hunter Vision to get you through this quest alive.
First use your Owl to locate the Bears, making sure to make note of the location of the Cave Bears and Brown Bears separately. Head south once entering the hunting area. This pits you against your first Brown Bear. Use arrows while the Bear is at a distance, then shift to spears once it is in close range. Use this tactic on the next two Brown Bears to the north. With them down, you can focus on the Cave Bear that is north of the entrance of the hunting area.
Set a few traps on the ground if you have them available on the route you plan on using to retreat. These deal damage to the Bear if it chooses to chase you. Use your arrows, making sure to aim for the head, to deal the greatest amount of damage. You can use bait to stall it momentarily or even tame it if you haven’t yet tamed a Cave Bear.
Stay crouched and use Hunter Vision while you head farther east into the camp where you encounter another Cave Bear. Employ the same tactics used to kill the last Cave Bear to make short work of this one. Continue pushing into the camp until you come across a cave containing two Brown Bears.
If you’ve kept your distance you can pull the first Bear out of the front of the cave, kill them, and then pull the second one out. If you accidentally pull both Bears out of the cave, use some bait to distract one while you kill the other.
With all of these Bears dead, the mission rewards are yours!
