Far Cry Primal eGuide Secondary Quests Help Wenja: Tribal Clashes

Save Captive

These quests begin immediately after speaking with the Quest Giver. All surviving hostages are added to your Population, so stay undetected to prevent them from being killed.

Enemies killed by your Owl or beast do not cause the enemies to execute hostages. Hostages are only attacked once you yourself have been spotted.

Killing all of the hostiles immediately frees the Wenja, so you do not need to untie them after you have cleared the area and have been rewarded the Population. At least two Wenja captives must survive or the mission fails.

Save Captive: One

Some Udam want to eat fresh Wenja meat. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Easy

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Accept the mission and call in your Owl to scout out the location nearby. Use the Owl to kill the Warrior on the south side of the camp standing next to two hostages.

Continue east, staying on the high ground to the south of the camp. Once you are in position, pull out your bow and kill the first Spearman that is closest to the water on the north side of the camp. Next, kill the Archer who is crouched down searching a dead body. Take your next shot on the Warrior standing between the two hostages near the campfire.

Only one enemy remains. Quickly shoot the last Archer, who is facing away from the campfire and is still unaware his allies are dead.

Save Captive: Two

A Few Udam are keeping Wenja Captives in a freezing cave. Free the Captives.

Difficulty: Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Take a short run east to the objective area, sticking to the high ground on the north side of the area once you reach it. Call in your Owl and spot the hostages and Udam guards. Use your Owl or bow to take out the Spearman on the west side of the area while he is away from the camp.

From the rocks, kill the Slinger that is farther into the camp before moving forward to prevent being spotted.

Call your beast in on the Scourge standing next to two hostages at the far east side of the camp. While your beast attacks, drop down off the high ground and move onto the main path leading into the camp.

This new position gives you a shot on a Spearman and a Scourge located near the fire. They are now looking back toward the enemy your beast killed, allowing you to quickly take them out with a few well-placed arrows.

A Spearman will likely try to engage your beast after it has killed the Scourge. Use your bow to help your beast kill the Spearman.

One last Slinger is outside of the camp to the east. You can free all of the captives in the camp before hunting him down, if you wish. Once all of the Udam are dead, the mission is complete.

Save Captive: Three

The Udam have discovered a new game—make Wenja captives fight beasts. Free the Captives

Difficulty: Very Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

This quest may seem quite hard at first, considering it takes place indoors. However, using your beast to kill each enemy quickly clears the place out and prevents any alarm from sounding. When your beast is injured, call it back and use meat to heal it. If you don’t have meat, you can always call in another beast to take its place.

After accepting the mission, follow the path east where it leads you to a couple of climbing spots into a cave called the Shwadari Fight Den.

Stay crouched as you enter the den, activating your Hunter Vision to spot the Udam that surround the center. Do not leave the high ground at the cave entrance.

Use your bow to first take out the Warrior across the cave, and then pick off the Spearman and Scourge across the room. Look to the right and kill the Spearmen located just below you. For the closer enemies like the Chieftain, call in your beast to take them down. Using your beast on the nearby enemies prevents you from accidently exposing yourself to the other enemies.

If the mission doesn’t clear, work clockwise around the cave, slowly releasing captives until you come across any enemies that may be holding their positions behind the rocks.

When the captives are freed they run out of the area, preventing them from being killed by the remaining enemy.

Once all enemies are down, the mission is complete.

Save Captive: Four

Some Wenja are trapped in a freezing cave. The Udam will eat them soon. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Medium

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

After accepting the mission, sneak to the east side of the objective area; there will find some vines that lead up onto the high ground above.

Call in your beast as a distraction on the enemies farthest away from you. Once they are distracted by your beast, use your bow to pick them off one by one until they are all dead.

You can also jump down from the high ground and land right behind a group of three captives, allowing you to free them before all of the Udam have been killed.

Save Captive: Five

Izila are sacrificing Wenja near a roaring waterfall. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Medium

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Head north toward the objective area but stay to the west side of it until you come across a grappling point.

Use the grappling point to pull yourself onto a small ledge containing a bag of loot, grab the loot, and use the next grappling point. This point leads you to a path that takes you right behind the Izila and captive Wenja.

Use your Owl to take out the Slinger that is on the high ground, then follow the path and climb up. Stay crouched and use the bushes for cover.

Order your beast to attack the Scourge, this prevents them from throwing a fire bomb and accidentally killing the hostages. Pick off the Warriors that begin to advance on your beast and then focus on the Spearmen. Once you and your beast kill off the Izila, the captives join your population!

Save Captive: Six

Wenja captives are being forced to mine stone for the Izila. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Very Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

These Wenja captives can be liberated very easily from a head on approach with the help of your beast. First take out the Archer on the highest ground. If enemies begin to spot you, retreat down the small hill until they can no longer see you.

Once you’ve killed the top Archer, call in your beast to take on the Warrior and two Spearmen in the camp. The enemies on the second level begin to work their way down to the base level of the camp. While they are moving, they are not looking in your direction, making them extremely vulnerable to attack. Quickly take out the two Scourge and the Archer as they work their way down to combat your beast. If your beast dies call in another beast to continue the fight.

The captives are held in a small cave that is blocked by a gate, so freeing them without killing off all of the Izila is very dangerous as you are likely to be spotted.

Save Captive: Seven

Izila are forcing Wenja to build their standing stones. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Medium

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Call in your Owl to locate the enemies. A Warrior is attacking one of the captives. Use your Owl to stop the attack, then send in your beast to attack the Spearman located next to the captive.

This draws the attention of the nearby Scourge. Stay in the bushes and use your bow to stop him before he throws a Fire Bomb.

Your beast should now be fighting a Warrior that has run over from the south side of the camp. Ignore that fight and pick off the Spearman near the hut on the west side of the tent.

While doing this, your beast has likely killed the Warrior and moved on to fighting the last Archer in the camp. Once the Archer is killed, the captives are added to your population.

Save Captive: Eight

Izila are toying with their Wenja Captives, releasing them only to hunt them down. Free the Captives.

Difficulty: Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Slowly follow the path to the south; an Izila Spearman and Scourge patrol the edge of the objective area. Hide in the bushes and call in your Owl.

After scouting out the enemies, use your Owl to kill the Archer that is overlooking the captives being held around the campfire. Once you’ve killed the lookout, send your beast in on the patrolling Scourge. This pulls all of the enemies away from the captives.

Slowly move up and use your arrows to support your beast, killing the two Spearman and two Archers that come to fight him. If you have the Chain Takedown skill, you can save some arrows and move in close to finish all four of them quickly once they leave their positions.

This fight ends quickly, and the Wenja are free to join your population.

Save Captive: Nine

Izila warriors have trapped Wenja captives at a sacrificial altar. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

After accepting the quest, use the grappling points to pull yourself closer to the objective area. Once you’ve used the second grapple, stay to the north of the objective area, and head east until you hit the cliffs.

Use your Owl to locate the enemies inside the camp, and then have it perform a takedown on the Elite Scourge.

A path leads up to a small cave opening with a Wenja Captive inside. You can free this captive without attacking any enemies.

Once you’ve freed that captive, start killing the Warriors and Archers that scatter the camp.

Call in your beast to begin attacking the Izila and slowly sneak into the camp and untie the Captives. Depending on the effectiveness of your beast, you may be able to free all of the Captives before the Izila are wiped out.

Save Captive: Ten

Wenja gatherers have been captured by Udam raiders. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Head out to the objective area. Once inside the objective area, call in your Owl to spot the enemies. The Udam are easily visible in this completely outdoors camp. Call your beast in to begin attacking the Elite Udam Warrior on the east side.

This attack draws all of the enemies in toward the center of the camp, allowing you to easily gain access to the high ground in the north. Assist your beast in combat with your bow and Owl takedowns.

Only one Elite enemy populates this camp, making it incredibly easy for a Bear to kill all Udam without retreating to heal. Once all Udam are dead, the captives are free.

Save Captive: Eleven

Izila are sacrificing Wenja captives to their sun goddess, Suxli. Free the captives.

Difficulty: Hard

Awards: Population

Special: 1 Skill Point

Follow the objective marker into a cave. Once inside, follow the path, choosing to go through the vine covered tunnel when the path forks.

After you’ve walked through the vines, a small fire lights the balcony that will be your spot for picking off all of the Izila in the cave. Start by taking out the three Archers on the high ground. Once you’ve killed them, call your beast in to start fighting the Spearmen and Warriors on the ground floor.

When your beast begins fighting, peek over the edge and help finish off the remaining Izila with your bow.

You can continue around the back side of the cave and begin to free the Captives even if you haven’t killed all of the Izila. However, this is risky as they have to run through any living Izila to get out of the cave, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
