Far Cry Primal eGuide Secondary Quests Help Wenja: Beast Kill

Badgers

Animal Count: 9

Difficulty: Hard

Reward: 1200 XP + Animal Skins sent to your Reward Stash

After accepting the mission, quickly run south into the hunting area. Badgers are attaking a friendly Wenja Hunter. Use your spears to make short work of them and try to save the hunter. If he survives, he makes excellent bait as you make your way south toward a cave in the camp.

If the hunter did not survive your initial encounter with the Badgers, toss bait a few meters in front of you and wait to see if it pulls any Badgers out. You can use this opportunity to tame a Badger if you’d like. Even if you’ve already tamed a Badger, you can still tame another. This is much easier than trying to hit them while they speed around. Push forward using this method to prevent being overrun by Badgers.

Three of the Badgers are located in the small houses along the path forward: one in the hut to the east and two in the fenced area to the west.

After you kill them, a short incline leads to a bush that is hiding two Badgers just before the cave. Use a spear or bow to line a headshot up on one of them before they detect you, then hunt down the other. Do not chase it if it runs to the south as that leads you into three more Badgers.

Head toward the mouth of the cave slowly; a Badger hides in the brush just to the right of the cave entrance. Take him out with a headshot, then throw some bait to call out the remaining Badgers one by one. A couple of Badger Headshots later and you have saved the day for this Wenja Village.

My favorite beast companion is the Honey Badger. When he dies…he doesn’t really, because he don’t give a damn.
