Throw bait to attract nearby animals. Some beasts attracted by bait can be tamed (requires skills). Pick up Tensay’s Shaman skills to be able to tame beasts in the wild. These guys possess a variety of abilities, giving you a valuable ally in battle. Check out our wildlife chapter to see the available animals and what they do for you.
Use the grappling claw to climb and swing across vertical terrain You receive this tool during Wogah’s first mission and it is one of the most valuable items in the game. This allows you to explore the high cliffs and deep caves. If you wish to collect everything in the game, you must find Wogah and get the claw.

Place these concealed traps to surprise enemies and keep predators at bay. You could go the entire game without using a trap, but you would miss out on some easy damage. Figure out an enemy’s route and place one in their way, or provoke someone who stands on the other side of it.

Winter clothing is invaluable when exploring the cold north, but it does not become available until Karoosh’s hut is built. Upgrade it to increase the time before you need to warm up with fire. It is always possible to warm up by igniting a weapon, but having winter clothing is a huge convenience.
