Shard Takedown

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Death from Above

Cost: 2 Skill Points

Press the Takedown button to begin a takedown on an enemy. Then press the Quick Attack button to throw a shard at a second enemy. You must have shards to use this skill. Take out two unsuspecting foes in one fell swoop. Turn the camera to look at the second enemy or you may not get a shot at him.

Heavy Takedown

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Shard Takedown

Cost: 3 Skill Points

Press the Takedown button to takedown the large and powerful Chieftain enemies. This skill is a must have for later locations, when Chieftains become more prevalent.

Death From Above

Unlocked for Purchase: Bring Karoosh to your village

Skill Requirement: -

Cost: 1 Skill Point

Jump or fall onto an enemy below you for a quick and brutal kill. This is a very satisfying way to take out an opponent and it is cheap.

Mammoth Rider

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Death From Above

Cost: 2 Skill Points

Approach a young Mammoth and hold the Interact button to ride it. Charge with the Sprint button. Attack enemies with the Takedown button. Use your weapons as normal. This skill is required for the Stomp Udam mission. Trample a series of enemies with the charge attack. Wipe out entire squads at outposts and bonfires by grabbing a Mammoth beforehand.

Chain Takedown

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Heavy Takedown

Cost: 4 Skill Points

Kill multiple enemies in sequence. Start with a standard takedown. Use the Move controls as prompted to chain it between nearby enemies. Be ready with the Left Stick. Quickly press the indicated direction to keep the chain going.

Beast Rider

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Mammoth Rider

Cost: 2 Skill Points

This skill allows you to ride Sabretooth Tigers, Brown Bears, and the Bloodfang Sabretooth after taming them. The controls are the same as when using the Mammoth Rider skill. Hold the Interact button to mount the beast; hold the Sprint button to sprint. The Takedown button causes the beast to attack. You can attack as normal when mounted.

Club & Spear Handling

Skill Requirement: Death from Above

Cost: 1 Skill Point

Aiming sway is greatly reduced for clubs and spears.

Weapon Agility

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Club & Spear Handling

Cost: 1 Skill Point

Switching between weapons with the Heal button is much faster, even when sprinting. Aiming your weapon with the Aim button is also much faster. If you find yourself fumbling with your weapons when switching from one to the other, grab this skill to improve alternating between weapons.

Use Weapons While Moving Bodies

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Club & Spear Handling

Cost: 1 Skill Point

While moving a dead body, you can aim and throw any club or spear. Typically, when moving a body out of sight, you are vulnerable to enemy attack. Now clubs and spears can be thrown during transport.

Extra Health III

Unlocked for Purchase: Build Karoosh’s Hut

Skill Requirement: Use Weapons while Moving Bodies

Cost: 4 Skill Points

Gain +1 health bars. You can have up to six in total.
