Overview

Head over to Karoosh’s hut and talk to the villager to find out the warrior has gone after Mog himself. Find his quest marker in far north Oros, deep inside Udam territory. He rests inside a cave on the east side of the mountain just south of Cave of the Drowned. If you already have three Green Leaves in your pack, this mission is easier to complete. If you don’t yet have them, you are given an additional objective to gather them in the nearby area.

Strategy

As you approach the Cave of Frozen Knives, dismiss your beast and send out the Owl to survey the location. Udam litter the area, but it is possible to distract the enemies and sneak inside unscathed. We are going to take the stealth kill approach, though, and eliminate all foes. Note that the left cave entrance does not reach Karoosh.

Hide in the brush ahead and use rocks to pull the Elite Warrior over and take him down. Grapple to the rock ledge above and quietly perform a takedown on the Elite Spearman.

Move toward the cave entrance, wait for the Elite Scourge to turn his back, and eliminate him. With the left side taken care of, use the three grappling points around the east side to reach the northern area.

Drop down to the path and observe the Elite Archer and Scourge. Takedowns from the brush eliminate that threat without drawing attention from the Elite Slingers. Carefully move out to the path below them and kill the Elite Spearman who patrols the route.

Now only the three Elite Slingers remain as they stand guard on the rock ledges above. Quietly get behind each one, kill them with takedowns, and pull them away from the edge to avoid detection. Now you are free to enter one of the right cave openings and reach Karoosh.

Now that you have found Karoosh, hand him the three Green Leaves to get him back on his feet. Many more Udam approach your location, so you must fight your way out. The debris that blocked the path to the right is now clear so it is a straight shot out. Call in your beast if it’s not already by your side. Stay close to Karoosh as you fight off the enemies, making sure his health bar is not reduced all the way. He does heal when not in combat. Watch your back, as Udam enter from the other side. Use bombs at the cave entrance to quickly reduce their forces. Once you get a short way down the hill, the mission is complete.
