Far Cry Primal Guide › Takkar's Journey › Main Missions › Sayla the Gatherer

Deep Wounds

Deep Wounds

Prerequisite: Complete Path to Oros

Main Objective: Collect 4 Green Leaves and return to Sayla

Difficulty: Easy

Awards: 500 XP

Special: Village started and free to explore Oros, Rugged Healing food recipe, Spear available

Enemies: Udam Warriors, Udam Archer

Overview

The Sabretooth did a number on Sayla and she needs to treat her wounds immediately. Collect Green Leaves that grow all around Oros and bring them to her.

Strategy

Down the hill, green plants grow near the water. As you explore Oros, this resource is found everywhere, but for this quest, you must search around the water. Make your way to the bend in the waterway and use your Hunter Vision to spot animals and enemies ahead, as well as the green plants that you seek. Udam are currently hunting the area, but they are fairly easy to perform takedowns on by sneaking up behind them. For the two guys together, either quickly kill the second after performing the takedown or draw him out by tossing a rock nearby. Pick four Green Leaves, located on both sides of the water, and return up the hill to the cave.

Leaving The Mission Zone

Be aware that it is possible to fail a mission if you stray for too long outside of the zone—marked by a yellow shading on the mini-map. A warning message appears on-screen letting you know that you must return to the objective. Quickly head back before you are placed at the previous checkpoint.

Passive and Aggressive Wildlife

Most of the animals that you cross paths with in this first mission are passive and do not attack unless provoked. There are Dholes nearby and they are hostile. Quickly put a couple of arrows into the canine as it approaches or pull out your club and take care of it in close combat. An animal that is engaged with you is represented with a red icon on the mini-map, whereas a white icon denotes a non-threat.
