Peace returned to Hyrule with the defeat of Ganondorf and the disappearance of Cia. Lana, continuing her job as Guardian of the Triforce, searched for clues as to the whereabouts of the missing Cia.
One day, someone appeared in front of Lana and stole the power of the Triforce from her. Soon after, another phenomenon occurred in Hyrule Kingdom: a new dimension opened up. Impa tasked Link with investigating this new gate and so he prepared for his journey and set off. Entering this new dimension, Link saw strange and colorful landscapes and faced off against monsters the likes of which he’d never seen before.
During his exploration of the new dimension, Link encounters a young girl named Tetra. She was the leader of a band of pirates, but lost contact with her crew in the wake of the newly opened gate. The two agree that they must join forces to defeat the monsters and find her crew.
After their victory, Link looked up at the sky and saw a monstrous bird-like creature descending down at him. He noticed something stuck in the claws of the bird. It was Tetra! Fearful that she would be taken away, Link chased after the beast. He followed it all the way to a desert where Link met Lana again and together they saved Tetra from the monstrous bird.
It was through these events that Link, Lana, and Tetra, each with their own ambitions and goals, were united to save Hyrule Kingdom from the effects of the opened gate.
